Nice to see TT get a move on now, as its well behind schedule. There was talk of 300 odd staff, sounds like one on the drill and the other 299 making the tea. There is a large wage bill running up. I thought we would be a lot further on by now. Hey ho give it a few months then it would be fairer to make judgement.

all going good here dc imo - leni - i am just not keen on his hitoric deals one bit i'm afraid - maybe he has got this one right for a change - he has to get it right once out of a hundred i suppose LOL - even the law of averages is in his favour this time!!! i had a good weekend till i heard the name leni again lol!! only joshing - hope you had a good weekend also - roll on tomorrow :-))

Range and partners have been drilling Puntland 14 days today. Be interesting if we get any leaks in news not Hc's. :-)). See you done well on the gg's gibby drinks all round?

Hi ptholden, nice to hear from you. PL did say about 90 days, that does include the test time as well. Horn being the operator have said there will be no updates till TD.
I would think president F of Puntland will perhaps want the lime light with the first announcement, then Horn. The first zone of the three could be hit any day now.
Depending how tight they keep the ship (without looking back I think the spud was the 17th Jan), so news sounds like about two weeks into April or before with leaks.

They are drilling to a maximum of 3800mtrs. Someone the other night said they could drill between 50mtrs and 75 mtrs a day. Of course this is if there are no problems.
The drill is drilling sandstone which is fairly soft. Also another poster that works on the rigs said his team drilled 100 - 125 mtrs a day. Also saying the crew were on bonuses
for getting the job done ahead of schedule. They are drilling day and night as well.
Range being in line for 20% of the poss 300 million barrel first drill.
