daves dazzlers - 20 Dec 2004 10:59 - 2691 of 7811

Lucky win yesterday prop,,as to ms men they did well to. Bloody cold day at anfield my knees where frozen solid.

proptrade - 20 Dec 2004 11:02 - 2692 of 7811

i was happily watching Sol from the comfort of my living room! the odds on that beauty must run into 100's:1.

i am taking my 5 year old to Highbury on boxing day (i took him last year to the Liverpool 4-2 game). it should be even colder by then and the wife will not be happy!

SEY up a tick....

daves dazzlers - 20 Dec 2004 11:06 - 2693 of 7811

Yes just a bit,my 5 year old lad has been to anfield once,,would not sit still all through the game,,bloody nightmare,he`s more of a rugby fan union.

Andy - 20 Dec 2004 11:17 - 2694 of 7811

A nice tick up this morning, both SEY and HNR, so hopefully the disappointing (thus far) drilling campaign has now ceased to drag down the price.

Not sure if Hardman are due to release an update tomorrow, I believe they have stopped actually.

I froze at Dean Court (AFC Bournemouth) on Saturday, funny how the match seemed to reflect the weather, dire! At least we won I suppose.

daves dazzlers - 20 Dec 2004 11:26 - 2695 of 7811

I thought it was warm down south,,t,shirt weather.Waiting for a bit of snow up here, there`s a fair bit about 30 miles away, but i will wait untill it gets a bit closer,,i can confirm are sledges are ready..

proptrade - 20 Dec 2004 11:31 - 2696 of 7811

the scary thing is i ahave a baby due in the 2 week of jan and coincides with the snow days we have had the last few years. i don't fancy delivering my 3rd child on the hard shoulder of the M1!

of to town to but the wife a prezzie, any ideas?

daves dazzlers - 20 Dec 2004 11:43 - 2697 of 7811

Just the 2 myself one of each, fight like a pair of cats,as to a prezzie,i always buy limited edition toy cars,,they look good in the class cabinet,,and it give`s her something to clean,

but dont say i said that, failing that you could always buy some opium,,,,,,,,the perfume,,,,it always works for me ..

proptrade - 20 Dec 2004 11:53 - 2698 of 7811

too right...i am off now, back in a couple of hours. in the meantime, check out ESY...on the move again!

daves dazzlers - 20 Dec 2004 11:54 - 2699 of 7811

Will do,bt.a holder myself.

proptrade - 20 Dec 2004 11:57 - 2700 of 7811

could give BT a run for their money...ESY is the ONLY other wholesale provider in the UK. stunning coup for the company, look out for big contract wins...easily 200p by next year.

daves dazzlers - 20 Dec 2004 12:26 - 2701 of 7811

Well it can grow, for that theres no doubt, but its a tiddler all the same, what price are you in at prop.

mickeyskint - 20 Dec 2004 13:00 - 2702 of 7811

Got this from the other place. It's worth noting that SEY are not just about Mauritania, but have potential else where. Does anybody know when their results are due?

one of the announcements made last january when SEY acquired Osprey was that the purchase included a gas gathering system with on shore facilities that would produce $1 mill revenue a month.
this and the doubling of reserves made the Osprey buy very significant but tended to be over shadowed by the acquisition of Fusion Gas and Oil which came with all the hype concerning free runs on 20 drilling projects,Mauritania etc.etc.
people tend to forget SEY's ability to generate significant cash flows and profits from what are now considerable gas production facilities in the Gulf and with very small overheads i expect the full years results to be excellent.
the current share price has been totally influenced by the recent deal with the Mauritanian government (which i personally think was a coup).
now that is 'done and dusted' and people focus back on the co. as a whole,i believe the share price will now resumes its upward trend that begun 20 months ago.

Anyone have any thoughts on SBE , back from suspension tomorrow?

proptrade - 20 Dec 2004 15:56 - 2704 of 7811

not to go on a bit but ESY! apologies for digressing but SEY is just a bit stagnant right now.

seawallwalker - 20 Dec 2004 16:04 - 2705 of 7811

No worries here................

ESY and PET but not all long.

seawallwalker - 21 Dec 2004 11:31 - 2706 of 7811

Hey!

Rememeber???

Sterling Energy PLC
21 December 2004

Sterling Energy plc advises that the following announcement was made earlier
today by Woodside Petroleum Limited:

'Woodside Mauritania Pty Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Woodside Petroleum
Ltd., reports the following activity offshore Mauritania since the last report
issued on 14 December 2004.

PSC-B, Block 4
Tiof-5 and Chinguetti Development wells

Tiof-5 Appraisal well

Following the completion of wireline logging operations, the Tiof-5 appraisal
well was plugged and abandoned as planned. On 17 December 2004, the 'Stena Tay'
drill rig moved to the Chinguetti Field to join the 'West Navigator' on the
development drilling program.

Chinguetti Development wells The 'West Navigator' and the 'Stena Tay' are
currently conducting operations on Chinguetti Development wells. Woodside does
not plan to issue announcements regarding operations on Chinguetti Development
wells, but will do so if necessary in order to comply with its continuous
disclosure obligations under the ASX Listing Rules.

All reported drilling depths are referenced to the rig rotary table and all
times are Universal Time (UTC) (Mauritanian time).

The locations of the Chinguetti Oil Field, the Tiof and Banda discoveries and
exploration wells are shown on the attached map.*

Wells are expected to be drilled in two production sharing contract areas during
the remainder of the 2004/5 campaign.'

Participating Interests in the areas are:

+-----------------------------------+-----------+----------+
| Company | PSC-A | PSC-B |
+-----------------------------------+-----------+----------+
|Woodside group companies (Operator)| 53.846% | 53.846% |
+-----------------------------------+-----------+----------+
|Hardman group companies | 24.3% | 21.6% |
+-----------------------------------+-----------+----------+
|BG group companies | 13.084% | 11.63% |
+-----------------------------------+-----------+----------+
|Premier group companies | -- | 9.231% |
+-----------------------------------+-----------+----------+
|Fusion group companies | 4. 615% | -- |
+-----------------------------------+-----------+----------+
|Roc Oil group companies | 4.155% | 3.693% |
+-----------------------------------+-----------+----------

Sterling owns a royalty right over a 6% interest in PSC B, save for Chinguetti,
where the royalty right is 5.28%. It will hold a royalty right over a 3%
interest in PSC A following a Declaration of Commerciality in PSC A. This is as
a result of the transaction between Fusion Oil & Gas and Premier Oil, announced
on 28 May 2003, and Sterling's subsequent takeover of Fusion.

Through a funding agreement with the Mauritanian government, announced last
month, Sterling also has a further interest in the Chinguetti development.
