New World Resources - new issue, heading for FTSE100 entry (NWR)

Greyhound - 29 May 2008 10:51

New World Resources has had a flying start since it floated recently. The core business is hard coal mining and coke production in the Czech Republic. The company produced coking coal and stema coal - coking coal being the raw material for steel production. Steam coal sold to utilities for electricity.

Looks set for big gains in my opinion and expect to see FTSE100 inclusion before too long.

Results tomorrow.

The retracement we've seen in the last few days looks like a short term blip to me. Poland has now officially granted its licences for Debiensko so with demand for coking coal (for steel production) continually increasing this looks like a damn good medium term stock to hold in the ISA to me.

Morgan Stanley has overweight rec, target 23.

Greyhound - 01 Jul 2008 08:17 - 29 of 30

Goldman rates new buy - not sure of target price yet.

Greyhound - 02 Jul 2008 09:18 - 30 of 30

Goldman's target is 2470p, highest so far and very credible source.
