Looking for a big recovery today.

Lovely bullish chart pattern formed.........

SDL worth giving this the once over. Lower indicators showing positive with MACD crossing over the signal line (advfn data a lttle slow) and a bullish trend channel in place.

Seems to be quite a bit of Broker backing aswell. Hoping for a trading SP target of 535p.

Connaught (CNT)
Services and Social (Housing area)
Maybe of interest.
Large amount of directors buying in the last week.
PE high.
Forecasted earnings on the up over next years.
Consensus buy.
Yield poor at 1.4%
But do you own home work.

To me it looks as it is breaking out of down trend but Stock and ROC and OBV may suggest leaving for a few days,

I bought a small SB today.

Wiil buy again later if I appear to be right.

Bur this market is dangerous.

Fred government budgets for social housing face large cuts don't think this is a good time to be buying shares in companies dependant in goverment handouts.

I don't disagree, and bought only a few, small enough holding to annoy, but not hurt to much. Also, have tight Stop losses.

I am not sure of whether contracts can be cancelled.

But check the director buys and "projected" earnings.

Fred hope contracts will not be cancelled but more likely implementation would be delayed.

i would agree with you young hali, though CNT (which i have held for a couple of months) is on a recovery tack so may well buck the trend

btw, i have opened a modest short on ftse as of this morning

Everything more or less at basement level (even the boly band) and looking to rise a great deal further........

MACD, SLOW STOTS RSI all point to big increases.

note the FTSE has just rebounded off 4999.0



Technically, we think there are still chances of a rebound later, but the charts are highlighting the possibility of a further setback first before a rebound can take place. Our US analyst Tarquin Coe estimates FTSE100's downside to be at 4180 if the psychological 5,000 support is broken (see below). A break of that level also completes a huge head-and-shoulders top.

Worth having a look at Elementis ELM which has come out with a very bullish trading statement very recently.
