Jubilee Platinum (JLP)

Sooner44 - 15 Apr 2005 08:31

Any holders out there - there's some buying going on.....

R88AVE - 14 Feb 2008 20:22 - 274 of 798

Queen I dont think this is a dead cat bounce, especially when there were over 500k buy versus 23k sells. I have been watching this for past week waited for the confirmation of turning into bull run. Looks likes its defo turned today, so I'm in.

Queens did you know there was a company presentations issued

Probably explained the interest recently

queen1 - 15 Feb 2008 09:18 - 276 of 798

No I didn't but thanks for the pointer R88AVE. And welcome to JLP!

R88AVE - 18 Feb 2008 13:14 - 277 of 798

Nice steady rise I see, has it broken the downward trend then do you think Queen?

queen1 - 18 Feb 2008 14:51 - 278 of 798

Certainly another positive day so far R88AVE. The first hurdle will be to breach, and stay above, 85p. The next required breach will be about 97p. After that I don't see any reasons for the SP slowing until the 125p level, last seen in June last year.

Its up 13% in South Africa stock market today. Does UK sp usually follow day trend in other stock market?
The sp is hugely different with exchange rate consideration. Why is it that? I thought normally sp would follow similar prices.

queen1 - 18 Feb 2008 15:26 - 280 of 798

To be honest I'm not sure but 13% is again very encouraging.

Jubilee Platinum said its latest Madagascar borehole, ALF008, has intersected nickel-copper sulphide mineralization on the Ambodilafa prospect with higher grade intersections assaying 0.45 pct nickel and 0.16 pct copper.

'This is another good borehole result from the base-metal sulphide mineralized area on the western margin of the prospective Ambodilafa property,' chief executive Colin Bird said.

The company said its 2008 programme, which will include a significant amount of drilling, will focus on the base-metal sulphide mineralized area as well as on the platinum discovery some 2000 metres to the east of borehole ALF008.

Good timing of the news release I was beginning to think the sp was in make or break today. Upwards and go!

Possible climb up to 80p coming, and not too soon !

R88AVE - 22 Feb 2008 21:25 - 284 of 798

Although it was flat today its encouraging 225k buy late.

I think the falling trend since July last year has been broken

R88AVE - 26 Feb 2008 21:15 - 285 of 798

Interesting to see sp testing and finding support today. Looking at above graph it bounced off 69p mark which looks like it above downward trend line. Rather bullish i would say. Hopefully it will stay above tomorrow.

halifax - 26 Feb 2008 21:41 - 286 of 798

Still no news of any significant development of their resources only the usual super holes in the ground ,getting a bit boreing.

R88AVE - 26 Feb 2008 21:53 - 287 of 798

Halifax

Dont know if you have seen this, potentially impressive for long term

I think we have take off here...about time...Tom Winnifriths thinks that the sum of the parts is worth in excess of 200p and a serious possible takeover target for ore hungry major mining companies !

required field - 04 Apr 2008 17:16 - 289 of 798

What have we got here ?...JLP jumping up a bit...must hope that it does not retrace now.

queen1 - 28 May 2008 18:32 - 290 of 798

Anyone know why JLP has been drifting southwards for days and days?

halifax - 28 May 2008 19:19 - 291 of 798

Lack of fresh news, all we seem to get from them is yet another drilling report or something to do with a feasibility study - nothing really tangible.

Guscavalier - 02 Jun 2008 08:04 - 292 of 798

Spotted a mention in weekend FT edition in the money section by Patrick Mathurin. It says that the Company has been punished by concerns that power shortages in South Africa will threaten projects and that sp has dropped accordingly. Article goes on to say that this doesn't spell disaster since the market price of its metals have increased, resulting in a higher valuation of the Company. As power issue calms, Company can ramp up its production and benefit from the higher prices. Jubilee has also received approval to increase interest in its Tjate project in eastern Bushveld. This is important as Tjate remains one of the last significant Platinum resources in the area not controlled by a major mining group. Given recent market consolidation, its high grade deposits and record Platinum prices , larger Companies could find it alluring.

halifax - 02 Jun 2008 08:57 - 293 of 798

How is JLP ramping up its production when it isnt producing anything? More journo ramping perhaps!
