THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

I just had a thought , if someone new came on moneyam for the first time ,and visited this thread looking for general discussions on investing , ,they would think it was a looney bin ..

chocolat - 24 Nov 2005 19:53 - 2758 of 81564

Funny that, jimmy - I'm short on nutella too.

hewittalan6 - 25 Nov 2005 07:50 - 2766 of 81564

Thats about my rate of loss on real shares, so I am exempted.

By the way. I knew it would be a quiet day, so I've been up all night trying to write the worlds funniest ever joke (nod to Monty Python, there) based around Jonathan King, Matthew Kelly and a glittering career, but I just can't get it right.
Suggestions welcome.

I like that one about Gary i posted earlier alan ,nobody appreciated it ,i was most hurt ..

hewittalan6 - 25 Nov 2005 08:07 - 2769 of 81564

I passed it on. I liked it. I've been working on loads around the theme of Do you wanna be in my (chain) gang, I'm the leader of the gang (bang) and such like. None funny enough yet for the picky buggers that come on here.
Also considered Gary being short of change and calling Michael Jackson to ask if he could swap a ten for two fives and the mathmatical conundrum of how many times 59 goes into 15 but I ain't there yet.
