Your right there Balerboy, we should have gone about 4.15 p.m. last night and would only have lose a small amount but who knows what may happen!!!!!!!! We may have another chance in a couple of days but so many sold them so probably go completely t..s up uuggggggggg.

3 monkies - 17 Feb 2011 13:52 - 281 of 5221

Still climbing a little!!!!!! Good what we want to see.

3 monkies - 17 Feb 2011 17:30 - 282 of 5221

Has anyone seen some of todays trades which have gone up after closing 10 and a half million with the ? Don't know what thats all about - good, bad of indifferent!!!!!!!

cynic - 17 Feb 2011 18:03 - 283 of 5221

overall volume looks to have been heavy but not sensationally so

3 monkies - 22 Feb 2011 08:48 - 284 of 5221

Whats happening to these? Do we have to wait until March until they start doing something again?

3 monkies - 22 Feb 2011 21:38 - 285 of 5221

Pardon my ignorance but does anybody look to see what these are doing on the Australian stock exchange? The volume of our trades are much larger. Just wondered is there an explanation for this other than the fact they do not trade as we do?

grannyboy - 23 Feb 2011 08:00 - 286 of 5221

3M why are you investing in shares you appear a tad naive??????..

HARRYCAT - 23 Feb 2011 08:47 - 287 of 5221

3m, I hope you ignore that remark from gb. Everyone starts somewhere and if you don't ask you will never learn. I can't answer your question as I don't know the answer, but hopefully someone step up to the mark.

grannyboy - 23 Feb 2011 09:07 - 288 of 5221

WHY is that harrycat, i think its quite an appropriate question.. and to answer your query 3M maybe its because theres more investors over here: as in population!!..

Balerboy - 23 Feb 2011 09:11 - 289 of 5221

and your soooooo clever gb.....were you born with a share certificate in your hand rather than a birth cert.......

grannyboy - 23 Feb 2011 09:28 - 290 of 5221

I dont think i'm sooooo clever balerboy, just stating the obvious, but as always nice to have your input!!!!!!!!!!!!

3 monkies - 23 Feb 2011 09:45 - 291 of 5221

Oh dear, I only asked a question. So sorry that grannyboy thinks I shoul not be investing in shares as I am naive - the moral of that story is, I paid an investment company years ago to invest my money - they did a worse job of it than I, so if I make mistakes then there is only me answerable to that. I have made more money since going on my own than I have lost - just hanging around now for things to happen, if and when!!!!!!!!! Like thousands of others if the truth be known.

Balerboy, I am a short arse as well - chandeliers not for me either. The ironic thing is I still haven't got an answer to my original question but what the hell!! Have a good day.

cynic - 23 Feb 2011 09:51 - 292 of 5221

the answer is indeed (almost certainly) that ASX is very small comared to london, and of course there are far fewer local investors

3 monkies - 23 Feb 2011 09:55 - 293 of 5221

Cheers!

3 monkies - 24 Feb 2011 09:20 - 294 of 5221

Any concerns about the price dropping a little each day? Thank you.

grannyboy - 24 Feb 2011 09:55 - 295 of 5221

3M: are you for real???????

cynic - 24 Feb 2011 10:16 - 296 of 5221

3M .... this is a squitty stock, along with a bundle of others that are promoted (i did not say ramped!) on this BB .... as such, it is always subject to significant volatility especially in such troubled times as now, and that is why i have already banked modest profits in this one as well as BAO (again), EOG (again) and NVTA, and bit the bullet on RRR (which i felt was going nowhere other than south)

3 monkies - 24 Feb 2011 10:21 - 297 of 5221

Thanks Cynic.

HARRYCAT - 24 Feb 2011 10:57 - 298 of 5221

As Cynic says, whole market is down so no immediate cause for concern. You just have to decide whether to ride out the dips or to sell & buy back at a lower (hopefully) price. I took profit here a couple of weeks ago, expecting the sp to drift further than it has, but now it looks to have been a good move. I expect more downside in the short term, so am happy to watch for the next day or two, but that means I may miss the bottom of the bounce. It depends on your investment strategy, but definitely worth watching RRL for drilling news, imo. (Unfortunatley I just sat & watched my profit in RRR get whittled away to nothing, so am going to have to wait for the sp to rise again.)

cynic - 24 Feb 2011 11:18 - 299 of 5221

just an observation - TLW and PMO are both performing very strongly today (even if XEL isn't!) ..... i'ld hazard a guess that this is because their operations are well away from the "red zone" and that they are both solid and genuine producers
