very brave. the trend is up so i guess you are top picking. very dangerous as i'm sure you know. if it does fail at this level then you may welll make a very decent profit, as you deserve to. i'm flat and watching with interest.the rise hasn't been parabolic, there have been quite a few pauses along the way.it is these pauses and apparant support levels that may entice in new buyers, or those who wish to add to their existing positions. very dangerous also. if you are right however price may well just slice through em.i dont know , thats why i'm flat.

All my TA criteria has been met for a tentative short, mostly resistance levels on MACD & the RSI, I don't expect a dramatic fall and stop is at entry so unless it gaps up I'm quite safe, if it does gap up tabasco will no doubt have an instant orgasm at my poor trading!

Your short must be showing a small profit by now....time for a tight stoploss....

Big difference in buys ansd sells now on the order book. A while ago it was 3 to 1 SELLS to buys.

Only problem is you were 500% wrong on your prediction, easy to deramp a
stock that has gone from 13p to 100p in no time and is slipping back on some
profit taking.

I did say that it would probably go up shirt to medium term. My views is that it is ultimately close to worthless. I am talking about long term investment and you are talking about trading it.

What I don't get with Haystack is if he is neither a buyer or a seller of this stock why he should give a flying Fxxk anyway? What exactly is the point of trawling through L2 to ascertain that info, but not act on it. Is there an anorak similar to train spotters that you can buy with a badge?

He just likes trying to aggravate people I reckon.
And,he does a pretty good job at it.
On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give him a 7.

I like watching stocks being ramped and the psychology of it all. I don't always join in the discussions, but some like this one are irresistible. I find that I'm better at picking rubbish companies that are over-hyped than companies that will do well. There are about a half dozen companies that I expect to fold up over the next year that I am watching. Blinkx is not one of them though. I expect Blinkx to have a reality check at some stage over the next year and experience a major crash, from which it won't recover and then it will just plod along as an also ran for years to come.

I have a long list of companies that I predicted correctly that would go bust or close to to it. I don't short stocks at all, but I have a friend with whom I have invested over the years quite successfully. He is better at picking companies that will succeed. He does short stocks to a great extent. His individual positions are sufficient to buy a few houses with. He follows a lot of my short picks. One of those was Dialog, which a few people may remember. He made a small fortune on that as it went slowly went down and down relentlessly.

We both bought one well known stock together a few years ago. On that occasion I picked it as it was a tech stock and he knows nothing about tech stocks. It made about 12 times the investment fairly quickly. He told his broker about the stock and they recommended it to some clients and they all made very good money. in fact they made so much money that his broker invited us to a broker's lunch with just us and the partners in the brokerage (quite a famous broker). We still had the share at the time and it was a few weeks before we sold. We never knew how many shares each of us had. It was just an unwritten rule between us.

Accidentally I found out how many he had. After the lunch we went to a wine bar in Moorgate that was full of brokers. The guy that he dealt with at the broker was there. He was complaining that my friend had too many shares in this particular company and it was a great risk. What he actually said was "I keep telling .... that 5 million is too much in this stock". I interpreted this to mean 5m shares, but it turned out to be 5m. This was quite a shock as my investment was around 150k at the time. I encouraged him to sell. I sold and he follwed by selling over the next few weeks. A couple of months later the company went bust. A lucky escape.

So you do think BLNX is a short then? At which point did you tell your friend it was a short pick? Presumably a while ago given your postings on here.

I haven't told him it is a short. I heven't even mentioned it to him. He only likes shorts that either go out of business or come close to it. Blinkx is not even near that point yet.
