BLINX and you've missed it, the next google multi bagger!!! (BLNX)

Still Waiting - 25 Jul 2008 23:22

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=BLNX&S

With video search set to be the next big growth area BLNX have the software the likes of Microsoft, Google and NewsCorp would love to have.

In fact BLNX have done deals with most of these, the most recent being the UtargetFox deal which has been reported in the USA but not RNS'd in the UK.

Alexa rankings confirm the continued growth in usage as its viral effect spreads:-

The ITN RNS confirms blnx is the best in the market and is growing fast:-

Leading News Organization ITN Extends Advertising Deal with blinkx Based on Proven Campaign Success

blinkx Selected to Power Advertising across ITN Website and Syndication Partner Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - July 2, 2008 - blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that it has won an extension contract that will augment the scope of its advertising partnership with ITN, one of the world's leading news and multimedia content companies. Under the terms of the new agreement, ITN will use AdHoc, blinkx's patented contextual advertising platform for online TV and video, to serve advertisements on the ITN website and its syndication partner sites, including Bebo.

Through AdHoc, ITN has already been effectively monetizing its premium news content on the blinkx.com network for over six months. During this time, ITN achieved a significantly better return, greater search volume, and higher monetization through blinkx than through other syndication partners.

AdHoc uses blinkx's patented speech-to-text transcription and visual analysis technology to understand video content more thoroughly and effectively than any other service today, and can therefore dynamically place the most pertinent advertising against it. The AdHoc platform offers media companies and advertisers a unique value proposition -- video advertising which combines the emotive power of TV promotion, with the relevance and utility of contextual search advertising.

The confluence of ITN's premium TV content, blinkx's extensive syndication network, and AdHoc's uniquely powerful targeting capabilities was a formula for success. By extending its partnership with blinkx, ITN aims to achieve similar returns by leveraging the AdHoc platform to deliver contextually relevant video advertising on its own website and across its distribution partner sites.

'We're thrilled to be broadening our relationship with ITN,' said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx. 'News content is one of the most popular categories of online video and there's clearly a tremendous opportunity for monetization. The success of our partnership with ITN is evidence that the blinkx AdHoc platform is a uniquely powerful solution for online video advertising today.'

'We've been delighted with the results of our partnership with blinkx and are looking forward to implementing the AdHoc technology on our site,' said Nicholas Wheeler, managing director, ITN On. 'blinkx AdHoc has proven that it can achieve significant monetization of our content, effective marketing for advertisers and, most importantly, a useful, non-disruptive experience for our audience.'

As a pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the most effective way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 350 partners and 26 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.

ravey davy gravy - 21 Sep 2010 08:19 - 2837 of 6187

I just love these bulletin boards for arrogance !

You long a share it drops and you short it and it rises and you then claim to
have made profits.

Nowt wrong with my brains this morning cynic, it's telling me you write crap :-))

tabasco - 21 Sep 2010 08:23 - 2838 of 6187

ptholden - 21 Sep 2010 08:25 - 2839 of 6187

Well, my short is doing ok, although wouldn't be surprised to see another run at 100p, remains to be seen if that level can be cracked.

cynic - 21 Sep 2010 08:34 - 2840 of 6187

i'm not aware that i am obliged to post up my dealing record here, but let's put it this way ...... everyone except RDG knows i post truthfully

tabasco - 21 Sep 2010 08:36 - 2841 of 6187

cynic - 21 Sep 2010 08:47 - 2842 of 6187

funny old life isn't it ..... memory plays tricks ..... for my own satisfaction, i have looked at my trading record over the last 3 months ..... i have bought and sold BLNX twice (10,000 shares each time) for a nett profit of 1277.02 .... i have never been short of them .... my current position, also in 10,000 is showing a running loss of 712.50

my primary school maths tells me that my BLNX trades are still profitable, but i could be wrong!

btw, i always accept apologies with grace!

ptholden - 21 Sep 2010 08:50 - 2843 of 6187

I think you're telling porkies cynic!

tabasco - 21 Sep 2010 08:52 - 2844 of 6187

Peterthe best performing shares on AIM in 2010 are Blinkx (BLNX) it does not surprise me to see you are short this company.you are so au contraire.tea on the lawn with the Queen.naaaaaQueen of Hearts for youlol

ravey davy gravy - 21 Sep 2010 09:01 - 2845 of 6187

Cynic.

Just a bit curious to know how a stock rising when you are short and a stock
falling when you are long makes you a profit. ?

Hence my reference to "tim nice but dim" style of trading :-))

cynic - 21 Sep 2010 09:22 - 2846 of 6187

because, Mr Dozo, in case you did not or cannot read, i never went short!
as i said, apologies are accepted with grace!

Gausie - 21 Sep 2010 10:32 - 2847 of 6187

RDG - Maybe you're confusing cynic with me? I traded BLNX a few times, awfully in each case, some long and short. That's the way it goes sometimes.

I like to see people who are open about their losses as well as their gains, and are not afraid to say so.
There does appear to be a few about who would have you believe that all their trades were winners. As though they were on some sort of ego trip.
There is an 8 letter word that best describes them -- ***holes.

cynic - 21 Sep 2010 11:21 - 2849 of 6187

isn't it strange how quiet Mr Dozo has gone
i wonder why that would be?

tabasco - 21 Sep 2010 11:29 - 2850 of 6187

Thats one thing you can never say about melol.we will end the day back in the 90s is my hunch

The best performing shares on AIM in 2010 are Blinkx (BLNX), Rockhopper (RKH),Encore Oil (EO.), and Petromatad (MATD). Shares of these companies have gained respectively 543%, 514%, 454% and 424%! The list of penny shares that have doubled in price this year is long and varied. ARM's 74% performance would hardly appear on page one.

cynic - 21 Sep 2010 11:33 - 2851 of 6187

but that assumes you were holding on 1st january

ptholden - 21 Sep 2010 15:31 - 2852 of 6187

BLNX not having a good day, set a take profit target of 25 points in the region of 70p, albeit some profit locked in just in case of an unwarranted bounce. I guess the co might issue a RNS stating a director has gone to the toilet or similar which the acolytes will no doubt perceive as a good reason to wade back in for more

cynic - 21 Sep 2010 15:33 - 2853 of 6187

the chart was right ..... i was wrong, at least for now ..... and Mr Dozo is in hiding

tabasco - 21 Sep 2010 16:01 - 2854 of 6187

Got it wrong todayI expected Citis 100+ page report to have some impact today:-

from Dawnraid lse

"Awesome - huge report (108 pages) out from Citi on the implications of over the top TV. Blinkx listed as one of their top picks, with their name plastered all through the document as being in the sweet spot in this new media landscape. Could well see some very significant interest from some of the biggest institutions as they market this.

Just bought some around 84p [83 now] to trade in a day or soI treat this as a positiveweeds out the gamblers and beats up short term tradersthose that are long ride these days with a smile on their face..and I am beaming. lol
