soul traders - 11 May 2007 08:44

Just a heads-up for any traders out there. Easyjet seems to be bouncing back after its 20% fall during the week.

MM's seem to be walking the price up.

Right now we have EZJ Bid: 608.5p Offer: 609p Change: 11, was up 13 a few minutes back.

RNS about the passenger stats doesn't seem to have gone down too well today.

EZJ moves a lot on a regular basis, but todays drop (1682 to 1644) was not nearly as melodramatic as you choose to portray .... in fact, i dare say, though i haven't checked IAG or even FLYB, that the drop is partly attributable to the request that airlines should pass on some of their savings to passengers

IAG and FLYB prices hardly moved today.

I was thinking that airlines, parcel carriers, coach operators, hauliers, ferry operators etc should all be reporting Q2 and final profit figures above expectations due to much lower fuel costs.....but I suppose it depends on how much they have hedged. Can't help thinking though, that Firstgroup and Stagecoach must be reaping the rewards due to the fact that they have to buy at pump prices. Maybe the airlines aren't so fortunate? I do know that the ferry operators tend to hedge a certain amount of their bunker fuel price, so at mo they are the wrong side of the market price. Presumably airlines hedge a bigger percentage than most?

Our system’s recommendation today is to SELL. The BEARISH DARK CLOUD COVER pattern finally received a confirmation because the prices crossed below the confirmation level which was at 1,682.0000, and our valid average selling price stands now at 1,680.0560. The previous BUY signal was issued on 02/01/2015, 5 days ago, when the stock price was 1,683.0000. Since then EZJ.L has fallen by -0.17%.

HARRYCAT --------

Hedging positions
easyJet operates under a clear set of treasury policies agreed by the Board. The aim of easyJet's hedging policy is to reduce short term earnings volatility. Therefore, easyJet hedges forward, on a rolling basis, between 65% and 85% of the next 12 months anticipated fuel and currency requirements and between 45% and 65% of the following 12 months anticipated requirements.

DB4,

At what price are you considering buying at?

========

I have a sneaking belief some of the price drop of this one and IAG is due to "fears" of travelling at the moment.

skinny - 08 Jan 2015 16:23 - 297 of 408

Surely that goes without saying?

Fred1new - 08 Jan 2015 16:26 - 298 of 408

Yep!

But I wrote it.

After checking what I could on and off for a few days.
