BLINX and you've missed it, the next google multi bagger!!! (BLNX)

Still Waiting - 25 Jul 2008 23:22

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=BLNX&S

With video search set to be the next big growth area BLNX have the software the likes of Microsoft, Google and NewsCorp would love to have.

In fact BLNX have done deals with most of these, the most recent being the UtargetFox deal which has been reported in the USA but not RNS'd in the UK.

Alexa rankings confirm the continued growth in usage as its viral effect spreads:-

The ITN RNS confirms blnx is the best in the market and is growing fast:-

Leading News Organization ITN Extends Advertising Deal with blinkx Based on Proven Campaign Success

blinkx Selected to Power Advertising across ITN Website and Syndication Partner Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - July 2, 2008 - blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that it has won an extension contract that will augment the scope of its advertising partnership with ITN, one of the world's leading news and multimedia content companies. Under the terms of the new agreement, ITN will use AdHoc, blinkx's patented contextual advertising platform for online TV and video, to serve advertisements on the ITN website and its syndication partner sites, including Bebo.

Through AdHoc, ITN has already been effectively monetizing its premium news content on the blinkx.com network for over six months. During this time, ITN achieved a significantly better return, greater search volume, and higher monetization through blinkx than through other syndication partners.

AdHoc uses blinkx's patented speech-to-text transcription and visual analysis technology to understand video content more thoroughly and effectively than any other service today, and can therefore dynamically place the most pertinent advertising against it. The AdHoc platform offers media companies and advertisers a unique value proposition -- video advertising which combines the emotive power of TV promotion, with the relevance and utility of contextual search advertising.

The confluence of ITN's premium TV content, blinkx's extensive syndication network, and AdHoc's uniquely powerful targeting capabilities was a formula for success. By extending its partnership with blinkx, ITN aims to achieve similar returns by leveraging the AdHoc platform to deliver contextually relevant video advertising on its own website and across its distribution partner sites.

'We're thrilled to be broadening our relationship with ITN,' said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx. 'News content is one of the most popular categories of online video and there's clearly a tremendous opportunity for monetization. The success of our partnership with ITN is evidence that the blinkx AdHoc platform is a uniquely powerful solution for online video advertising today.'

'We've been delighted with the results of our partnership with blinkx and are looking forward to implementing the AdHoc technology on our site,' said Nicholas Wheeler, managing director, ITN On. 'blinkx AdHoc has proven that it can achieve significant monetization of our content, effective marketing for advertisers and, most importantly, a useful, non-disruptive experience for our audience.'

As a pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the most effective way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 350 partners and 26 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.

tabasco - 21 Sep 2010 16:01 - 2854 of 6187

Got it wrong todayI expected Citis 100+ page report to have some impact today:-

from Dawnraid lse

"Awesome - huge report (108 pages) out from Citi on the implications of over the top TV. Blinkx listed as one of their top picks, with their name plastered all through the document as being in the sweet spot in this new media landscape. Could well see some very significant interest from some of the biggest institutions as they market this.

Just bought some around 84p [83 now] to trade in a day or soI treat this as a positiveweeds out the gamblers and beats up short term tradersthose that are long ride these days with a smile on their face..and I am beaming. lol

cynic - 21 Sep 2010 16:18 - 2855 of 6187

as soon as i see a new posting on BLNX, my heart goes all aflutter in the expectation that there is a grovelling apology from Mr Dozo - clearly he's playing hard to get!

ravey davy gravy - 21 Sep 2010 16:25 - 2856 of 6187

Cynic.

You are posting rubbish, you made numerous bad calls here and you want
somebody to apologise ?

tabasco - 21 Sep 2010 16:29 - 2857 of 6187

Cynic.sorry to disappointbut I normally take silence as victoryapologies are a Brucie bonusand you dont get a lot of them in this game?

cynic - 21 Sep 2010 16:47 - 2858 of 6187

that's why judaism goes through the female line!

jkd - 21 Sep 2010 18:10 - 2861 of 6187

i think you may be wrong on that cynic. the reason that is.as in the story of the two sisters who got their father drunk before acting in such a way so as to be able to try to continue HIS family line.the story is in the old testament, i've read it. can't quote references etc.though as it was a long time ago.
(that i read it)
regards to you.
pth well done, have you considered taking x% profit and running the balance with a tight stop loss?
good luck to all.
regards
jkd

basic tribal law, when many were at war with each other and thus rape etc, is that one generally knows the mother

jkd - 21 Sep 2010 20:25 - 2863 of 6187

thanks cynic.
cannot disagree with you on that point only on the point of the original teaching. has it been changed? and if so by whom? and when?
i could discuss this with you much more but think this is not the place to do so.
So..back to Blinx... please.
thank you.
regards
jkd

ptholden - 21 Sep 2010 20:55 - 2864 of 6187

Hi jkd, hope you are well. My initial target was a mere 10pts (where my stop currently sits) which will be sufficient to pay for next year's hols at Skegness. Any further weakness and I'll change it to a trailing stop with an upgrade to Butlins in mind!

ptholden - 21 Sep 2010 21:02 - 2865 of 6187

RDG

I am somewhat baffled as to why you seem to want to pick a fight with just about every poster on MAM? You seem obsessed with the pump & dump brigade and show little respect for the more regular posters. I think you will find Cynic (and yes he is a personal friend) is always totally transparent with his trades and honest to boot. Perhaps you should climb down from your low horse and offer the apology you owe. It's a shame you're acting like a total wanker on this BB because I believe you have excellent L2 skills that you could share to some degree if you wished. Perhaps with my TA skills we would make a good team?

ravey davy gravy - 21 Sep 2010 21:17 - 2866 of 6187

The day i apologise to cynic is the day i stop posting on these boards for good.

What i dont get is the sheer arrogance some of the know alls that patrol the
thread.

ps...if you spend a little time trawling back through this thread you will see
that cynic has got it wrong with blinx every time from memory hence the
time nice but dim trading phrase i gave him with blinx.

Also....as for sharing my knowledge of L2 and online info with others, feck them,
it reminds me of advfn, none of them deserve to know how it works, it took me
a while and now i make a good living from it, i've only taught one person i met
from advfn bb's and he too makes a living now, i doubt i will meet another person
who is nice enough as these sites are full of arrogant people.

rant over !

ravey davy gravy - 21 Sep 2010 21:19 - 2867 of 6187

Again i have nothing to apologise for !

He has not got a clue what he is doing !

cynic - 21 Sep 2010 21:56 - 2868 of 6187

ah the arrogant little prig ..... can't even admit that he has made a total arsehole of himself .... i think it's called self-delusion when you can deny the truth when it's put in front of you in black and white .... please apologise, and then you will never post here again, which i suspect what most would like

ravey davy gravy - 21 Sep 2010 22:28 - 2869 of 6187

Cynic.

Dont make me to be arrogant, you and haystack have dominated these boards
for a long time with total arrogance, getting your friend to attack me only shows
you dont like the truth.

Your abusive posts only show i'm right, you and hilary can post as much bad
language as you want, i dont hide :-))

Haystack - 22 Sep 2010 01:26 - 2870 of 6187

There you go, one exaggeration afer another. I rarely post on any stock on this BB.

"What i dont get is the sheer arrogance some of the know alls that patrol the
thread."

Why do you get so upset? It is just a few people posting their opinions. Is it that the opinions don't coincide with yours?

cynic - 22 Sep 2010 07:15 - 2871 of 6187

i don't think you'ld find Mr Hayseed numbered among my friends, and assuredly he would concur!

btw, which bit of the black/white truth about my posting of my BLNX trading did you find unpalatable - sorry; untruthful? ......
how dumb of me; it was the bit where i showed i had been trading this share profitably, though that must be running a bit tight at the current level

hilary - 22 Sep 2010 08:24 - 2872 of 6187

"The day i apologise to cynic is the day i stop posting on these boards for good."

Just hurry up and say sorry, then fcuk off. You won't be missed.
