Lambykins's Dutch Coffee House - ADULTS ONLY (LAMB)

Spaceman - 28 Jan 2005 23:56

CLOSED - THANKS to all customers for the last few years

Socrates - 31 Mar 2005 17:01 - 2888 of 24230

Hello, where is everyone? Is that kettle still hot, I could do with a Belgian Bun and a cuppa.

Nice cheque from sale of OOM today, help the old bank balance, at least until I re-invest it.

Golddog - 31 Mar 2005 21:09 - 2889 of 24230

Evening all.

Littlewillie, why the harsh words of wisdom my old friend, i thought you was on the traders boards. Need not matter, we all still have this place you know. The cafe on the other side will just be a little extra somethink.

Was it raining? i hadn't noticed.

jeffmack - 31 Mar 2005 21:12 - 2890 of 24230

just visited the dark side, all quiet

Socrates - 31 Mar 2005 21:21 - 2891 of 24230

Jeffmack
You need to watch that dark side, a chap I work with said "may the force be with you" and three policemen walked through the door. They did open it first I'm happy to say.

Golddog - 31 Mar 2005 21:23 - 2892 of 24230

jeffmack, It is the dark side, but hopefully the new place will add a little sunshine. :-) The new place will not be built on the old country lodge estate, it is a million miles from there!!

Golddog - 31 Mar 2005 21:24 - 2893 of 24230

Socks, i love your humour, always puts a smile on me chops.

Golddog - 31 Mar 2005 21:39 - 2894 of 24230

Can i just say that the new place will maybe not open until late afternoon or evening. But when it does please pop in for an official opening drinky.

Big Al - 31 Mar 2005 22:10 - 2895 of 24230

Evening.

Just nipped in for a ride in the hammock and a wee slurp of the obvious. I'm getting a bit perturbed - we've got smoothie recipes being posted. Are there no good old-fashioned alkies round here any more? You've got to live a little and regret it afterwards?

Still far too chilly not to stoke the fire, though.

Been a busy bee all week so ain't doing much round here. Also got a course next week, which will not be a bundle of laffs! ;-))))

Socrates - 31 Mar 2005 22:22 - 2896 of 24230

Big Al
I've got some rather inferior single malt if you are interested? When I went to buy it they only had old stock, over 25 years, obviously can't sell it. The latest they had was ten years old. There isn't much I'm afraid, they would only let me have five barrels.

Big Al - 31 Mar 2005 22:29 - 2897 of 24230

This sounds sufficient for a wee soiree, Socs

;-))

The local at my previous house had 97 single malts along the top shelf and some of them were well past their sell-by date! Unfortunately I'm only ever allowed one, coz it does funny things to me! ;-0

Socrates - 31 Mar 2005 22:36 - 2898 of 24230

Big Al
I'm like you, one pint of it and I'm non compus mentis, completely.

Spaceman - 31 Mar 2005 22:41 - 2899 of 24230

bloody soft northeners cant take a pint of whisky, you should come down south and we will show you some proper drinking ;-)

Big Al - 31 Mar 2005 22:48 - 2900 of 24230

Yeah right, Spacie!

ROFLMAO!

Socs - reminds me of a Billy Connoly story - along the lines of "What does the Pope drink?" Answer - Creme de Menthe. "Fine, geez a pint of that then" ;-)))

On that snippet, I'll vacate the hammock, coz Choccy may need it shortly. At least it'll be warm! LOL

chocolat - 31 Mar 2005 22:56 - 2901 of 24230

Mmmmm
Happiness is a warm hammock :)

jeffmack - 31 Mar 2005 23:17 - 2902 of 24230

jeffmack - 31 Mar 2005 23:19 - 2903 of 24230
