Article from Rigzone.com.

Partners in the Mauritania offshore development program report evaluation of wireline and drilling data, including downhole pressure measurements and fluid sampling indicates that Tiof-6 has intersected oil over a gross interval of at least 123 meters. Wireline oil samples have been recovered to surface. It is interpreted that no gas or water leg has been intersected by the well. The interval comprises several good quality sands of varying thickness. The well will now be cased and temporarily suspended, allowing the West Navigator rig to conduct Chinguetti development drilling, before returning to flow test Tiof-6.

The Tiof-6 well is the 4th appraisal well following the two discovery wells completed in late 2003. The appraisal program is proceeding on prognosis and the joint venture is planning to complete the test of the 4th appraisal well before refining development plans.

The Chinguetti field, 25km to the south of the Tiof field, was given development approval in May 2004 and is on schedule for first production in early 2006 at approximately 75,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd), 6,000 bopd to Premier. Development drilling is currently underway. The Tevet-1 discovery well drilled in October 2004 is located within tie-back distance to the Chinguetti field.

The West Navigator and Stena Tay drilling rigs will remain on location offshore Mauritania throughout the greater part of 2005, and will be drilling exploration and appraisal wells in addition to Chinguetti, and possibly Tiof, development wells.

blimey, you are all very quiet today. Not even any recipes. I admit to being a bit of a lurker most of the time but I always read this thread and am not used to you lot being so quiet. Could posting recommence immediately so I can go back to lurking!

namreh3 - 14 Jan 2005 16:10 - 2901 of 7811

Slow day. Must be a rendezvous tete-a-tete between SWW and Hilary to discuss strategy. Couple of 100k buys and lots of tiddler sells. Money is elsewhere.

sandrew64 - 14 Jan 2005 16:34 - 2902 of 7811

Hate to disappoint a lurker.........especially as I lurk so much myself! Well as there's nothing interesting on the sp front..........I'm having a dinner party tomorrow night. I got some new cookbooks for Christmas so on the menu we have Bulgarian beef in pastry with potato cakes, creamed courgettes and beetroot casserole, with a walnut coffee slice for dessert. Any suggestions for a starter? Suppose it will be a bottle of vodka if this lot doesn't turn out.... maybe they won't notice then.

Prawn Cocktail!

Why be different?

Pond Life - 14 Jan 2005 16:42 - 2904 of 7811

What a quiet day today. Can anyone remember when less SEY shares were traded?

mickeyskint - 14 Jan 2005 16:47 - 2905 of 7811

SWW

What time shall I come around. For starters it's got to be a very large G&T followed by an other, then if all goes tit's up you won't give a **** anyway.

Have a great evening.

The next rreal piece of news will be the results in May.

Till then, we are in an abyss............................

Sorry I ahve been quiet, I thought you had all gone out.

Nice bit of news Tiof 6 weren't it?

Tiof 7 will be drilled in a couple of weeks and it's all systems gop in relation to production of Chinguetti.

Estimates were Q1 2006, but there is speculation that it may be sooner so that there is some much needed cash flow.

Not imho, it's someone elses who is speaking to the spirits..........

seawallwalker - 14 Jan 2005 16:50 - 2907 of 7811

Nice one MS.................. u too!
