With video search set to be the next big growth area BLNX have the software the likes of Microsoft, Google and NewsCorp would love to have.

In fact BLNX have done deals with most of these, the most recent being the UtargetFox deal which has been reported in the USA but not RNS'd in the UK.

Alexa rankings confirm the continued growth in usage as its viral effect spreads:-

The ITN RNS confirms blnx is the best in the market and is growing fast:-

Leading News Organization ITN Extends Advertising Deal with blinkx Based on Proven Campaign Success

blinkx Selected to Power Advertising across ITN Website and Syndication Partner Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - July 2, 2008 - blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that it has won an extension contract that will augment the scope of its advertising partnership with ITN, one of the world's leading news and multimedia content companies. Under the terms of the new agreement, ITN will use AdHoc, blinkx's patented contextual advertising platform for online TV and video, to serve advertisements on the ITN website and its syndication partner sites, including Bebo.

Through AdHoc, ITN has already been effectively monetizing its premium news content on the blinkx.com network for over six months. During this time, ITN achieved a significantly better return, greater search volume, and higher monetization through blinkx than through other syndication partners.

AdHoc uses blinkx's patented speech-to-text transcription and visual analysis technology to understand video content more thoroughly and effectively than any other service today, and can therefore dynamically place the most pertinent advertising against it. The AdHoc platform offers media companies and advertisers a unique value proposition -- video advertising which combines the emotive power of TV promotion, with the relevance and utility of contextual search advertising.

The confluence of ITN's premium TV content, blinkx's extensive syndication network, and AdHoc's uniquely powerful targeting capabilities was a formula for success. By extending its partnership with blinkx, ITN aims to achieve similar returns by leveraging the AdHoc platform to deliver contextually relevant video advertising on its own website and across its distribution partner sites.

'We're thrilled to be broadening our relationship with ITN,' said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx. 'News content is one of the most popular categories of online video and there's clearly a tremendous opportunity for monetization. The success of our partnership with ITN is evidence that the blinkx AdHoc platform is a uniquely powerful solution for online video advertising today.'

'We've been delighted with the results of our partnership with blinkx and are looking forward to implementing the AdHoc technology on our site,' said Nicholas Wheeler, managing director, ITN On. 'blinkx AdHoc has proven that it can achieve significant monetization of our content, effective marketing for advertisers and, most importantly, a useful, non-disruptive experience for our audience.'

As a pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the most effective way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 350 partners and 26 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.

You can usually tell the ignorant ones.
There credo seems to be, " Don't confuse me with the facts,my mind is made up!"

hilary - 22 Sep 2010 12:20 - 2905 of 6187

Well I want to know how Tabster gets to suck his spag bol "sophisticatedly". I'll bet he's got a fancy parmesan grater too.

cynic - 22 Sep 2010 12:24 - 2906 of 6187

gently Bentley (aka chess) or i may have to mention Mr H's views expressed on the gaza thread!

Haystack - 22 Sep 2010 12:25 - 2907 of 6187

Do they do fancy parmesan graters in M&S?

tabasco - 22 Sep 2010 12:28 - 2908 of 6187

Haystackdo you want directions to see for yourself?

tabasco - 22 Sep 2010 12:42 - 2909 of 6187

Yes HilaryI do have a large utensilperforated to perfection

hilary - 22 Sep 2010 13:10 - 2910 of 6187

Mine's only a tiddler, Tabster.

About a tenner on eBay. It's fun to watch my kids turn the handle the wrong way and not understand why the cheese doesn't come out. And they're meant to be bright......

Gausie - 22 Sep 2010 13:17 - 2911 of 6187

Interesting, Hils. Round the back of M&S, Mrs Tabster frequently demonstrates her in-depth expertise on how best to turn the handle so the cheese comes out.

Haystack - 22 Sep 2010 13:19 - 2912 of 6187

G
We can always count on you to lower the tone of the uplifting conversations here.

LOL

tabasco - 22 Sep 2010 13:35 - 2913 of 6187

This could close up today after hitting 75p... that would be a very strong intra-day reversal and with The Doctor and SCs much history in fcuking up mmsI would say this to be a very bullish sign.the shares have been equally distributed and the buying remains resilienta true Royal Flush fight backPeter is perverseand had to shorthe has been extremely lucky to catch the best AIM performing stock this year.but now is set for a bear snare
Gausiesorry to hear you done your very small nuts on my life changing stockthe wife is also very sorry for youlol.what was it in the end best of 85...and you take seminarsffsthey cant have very advanced students?...haystack?

cynic - 22 Sep 2010 13:46 - 2914 of 6187

to be fair, the chart shows exactly why sp tumbled - no rocket science required!

tabasco - 22 Sep 2010 13:57 - 2915 of 6187

Cynicwhen are you going to realise a chart shows you what has happenedand not what is going to happen
The same can be said about Race formif the expected happens the favourite would win there would be no markets and no Bookmakers.fcuk charts!.fools gold!

cynic - 22 Sep 2010 14:13 - 2916 of 6187

because peter sold, i think, once sp had broken back through (down) 50 dma or similar - peter posted his logic - and sp was therefore more likely to continue down for a while; which it duly did

don't ask me about horses; they hold no interest for me

tabasco - 22 Sep 2010 14:23 - 2917 of 6187

Cynicnot disputing the dropbut how many times have people predicted a fall in this stockand from 25p upwards[Gausie is currently best of 85 with me] a chart is like a fortune telleryou can make what you want from the infothe believers will make a casethe sceptics will do likewiselaw of averages says all parties have a shoutbut maybe not a winning one?

cynic - 22 Sep 2010 14:25 - 2918 of 6187

the reverse is similarly true ..... charts are just very useful (i think) guides and tools

tabasco - 22 Sep 2010 14:29 - 2919 of 6187

CynicI like your wording that charts provide "a guide"as opposed to the chart shows exactly why sp tumbledwhich I think was an incorrect statement.no offence meant

cynic - 22 Sep 2010 14:31 - 2920 of 6187

why on earth would i take offense? .... i guess my previous wording was a bit clumsy or ambiguous, or put another way - with hindsight, it was obvious why it fell!

tabasco - 22 Sep 2010 14:42 - 2921 of 6187

Cyniccharts are a pet hate of minechartists brag after success or make the chart read something else upon failure.bottom line nobody knows when a chart is going to stop going up or stop going down or sideways.after the event it always reads perfecthence your hindsight commentif I tossed a coin three heads on the trotit is still even money the head but probability is tailsboth arguments win?

cynic - 22 Sep 2010 14:50 - 2922 of 6187

that's why i usually mention "useful tool" or similar, though i too will pay attention if a stock breaks through what i think to be a key level with some momentum ....... insofar as they work at all, and of course they are fallible, charts can self-fulfil purely because so many people and even computer programmes follow them

tabasco - 22 Sep 2010 15:03 - 2923 of 6187

I do take the point that many people and programs track chartsbut I prefer when trading to be fearful when others are greedyetc. same with racing...
