Spacie - we do have all night buses so technically they can say
it was in use or the buses were running at that time.
What gets me is it's 40 for illegal parking and 50 for straying
into a bus lane?

Bunny isn't there a time that entry into the bus lane is allowed i.e. off peak time?
We don't have much of a bus lane system here but when I travelled to Manchester I just had to keep out of them at peak times.
Looking on the bright side I think he would have had his ticket by now, fingers crossed.

He got it yesterday and I posted the cheque for him this morning,
nice picture mind you! ;>)

Bunny, I think the important thing is what the signs say for that bit of bus lane, it might be worth checking as they could have made a mistake.

A good friend of mine was summonsed many years ago for "driving a Mercedes in a bus", he has a lot more guts than me and attended court and would only say that it is impossible to drive a Mercedes in a bus and he refused to accept that it was obvious what they had meant to write, After some time they adjourned his case and a few weeks later he got a letter saying they were going to take no further actions.

One point about the cameras that's worth remembering, the authorities are not allowed to use the picture of the driver to identify the driver. The registered owner of the car is required to identify the driver. They can use the photo to identify the car and from that they can identify the registered owner.

This subtle legal point can be very valuable!

Very peaceful here all them high-rollers must be in the new place but i cant afford the air fare so this will be my new haven.

Just popped in for a quick rub-down in front of the fire and a swift swing in Socks's indestructible hammock...ooh and a nip of BigA's barmy stuff.

Evening Duke, sorry I missed you earlier, been out for the evening.

Tends to be a bit quiet here at the weekends, I normally hide in the corner or sleep in the hammock, if I can get in it. Might be a bit easier to get some hammock time now that chocy has her hands full.

Delayed as usual, but felt the need to drop in, shite week, worked very hard for nil return so I am determined to get some well earned relaxation....and a Guinness, medicinal of course
