Could ETQ's share price be soon to benefit from their developments with the new UVGI Nightingale Mobile Air Filtration Product.
New UVGI air filtration product
In November 2002, the ETQ announced its new Nightingale UVGI air filtration product, to be produced by a new joint-venture company, UVGI Systems Limited, owned 55% by the Group and 45% by Suvair Limited. This rapid response mobile air filtration unit is capable of killing the MRSA super bug and other airborne pathogens.
The UVGI unit has widespread application where there is need to keep
air free of dangerous live bacteria, viruses, and fungal spores, including
hospitals, schools, cruise liners, aircraft, food processing, and military
applications.
The UVGI unit uses a high intensity Ultra Violet Germicidal Irradiation ('UVGI')
filter, which has been designed to control harmful and dangerous airborne
pathogens, such as Anthrax, Tuberculosis, and Staphylococcus aureus, the
causative agent in MRSA. The filtration system is combined with use of high
intensity Ultra Violet light, which inactivates micro organisms by disrupting
their DNA structure.
Tests of a prototype at the Defence Science Technology Laboratory ('Dstl') at
Porton Down, the centre for excellence for the Ministry of Defence, showed that
the UVGI unit captured and/or destroyed more than 99.9% of Bacillus subtilis
spores, a simulant for Anthrax bacteria.
Since November, second generation units have been developed, which will go on
applications testing at an NHS Trust Hospital in December 2003, following
building completion of its new haematology unit. It is also anticipated the
UVGI unit will shortly go on laboratory testing in the United States with
contractors nominated by the Department of Homeland Security.
Concern seems to be hotting up on the T.V. news that the MRSA super bug is still killing and disabling people visiting or as patients in NH Trust hospitals. It would be surprising if NH Trust hospital do not notice and Buy this product before they get to many expensive law suits for compensation claims.
Definitely a stock that could soon be heading north. Worth buying in but DYOR

between heaven and hell
my directional movement indicator (unfortunately I don`t know how to post my charts) is saying that etq is going into a coiling mode for a while. ADXR is falling together with the positive line. This is not necessarily bad as it means that there is likely to be a period of consolidation and looking at past history, they seem to take approx a month or so

Please elaborate Snip as this is the second time you have posted a chart with no explanation after yesterday.

I would have thought that this is pretty obvious from the chart. Up through 200 MA is very likely to lead to higher prices. Down through 50 MA shows weakness

Thanks Snip. You do have take other things into account such as newsflow from the company as well and not just concentrate on charts. Remember when the EVO buy note came out at 5.50 pence and you were still analysing the charts instead of looking at the buy note. You'll improve your trading skills if you try to take a balance view using both charts and newsflow.
I'm not even looking at the charts at the moment with the amount of stock hungry buyers are snapping up in 100K blocks buys or more during the last two weeks. At this moment, it is more important to look at newsflow and speculation will start flowing soon in press reports from sources such as Shares and Investors Chronicle about the NHS presentations.
PS. When I first recommended these at 5.25 pence you mentioned that the MACD was bearish and hence further downside was likely to 4 pence and now the MACD is bullish so what are you views on that now please.
For your own benefit Snip, use the charts indeed but to catch the bottoms like I did at 4.95 pence when I bought my first batch but don't get too bogged down with them.

Improve my trading skills???
granny and eggs come to mind SH. I don`t have to post anything on this thread but I hate to see `vulnerable` people sucked in on `might` `if` `I think` etc etc
I am neutral re my holdings and therefore I am UNBIASED and I say it as it is
re catching the bottom. Good on you but luck and falling knives belong to the catching bottoms game.
Lets hope there is no spilt blood on anyone`s hands

_ when I have hinted that news will come has it not come on the previous two occassion, the EVO buy note and the RNS last Friday whilst on those occassion you've been still looking at the charts. Just remember the golden rule that TA goes out of the window when news comes.
PS. I didn't mean to cause offence, it was only a suggestion.

Level 2 did close positive at 2 v 1 today so I would expect 7.25 pence on the offer to come very quickly in the morning. After that one MM is on 7.25 pence on the offer and the other 2 are on 7.50 pence.
So in effect barring no MM games 7.50 pence on the offer could come quite quickly tomorrow.

Hi Woodie, doesn't really matter. We did have one recommendation from them roundabout the 15th of July 2004...so may get another one in the coming weeks.
Shares Magazine on 15 July 2004 :
With almost a 10% risk of infection for hospital in-patients from the MRSA superbug, TB, anthrax and other dangerous germs, the government has launched a campaign to cut the death toll.
One beneficiary should be Energy Technique (AIM:ETQ) whose shares have doubled to 8p since it announced the first US sale of its Nightingale air filtration system to the Northwest Hospital Center in Randallstown, Maryland. More US sales are expected to be announced shortly. The system, a free standing air conditioner the size of an American fridge and costing 5,000 uses ultrviolet radiation combined with sophisticated qir flow systems to attack the DNA of killer germs.
The lenghty trial of two units at Basingstoke Hospital comes to an end in Autumn. Energy Technique is hopeful this will finally kick start long-awaited sales to the NHS.
Meanwhile licensing and manufacturing deals have beed struck with major companies to gear up production assuming demand takes off. The company's own factory at Basingstoke can make only about 1,000 units a year.
Full results will be released shortly and will show a 1 Million-plus loss. The company is trading profitably and is well funded after a 3 Million placing at 4p a share in March
Shares Says: Air Filtration market offers huge potential
The price is up today at 6.50-7.25 pence, MLSB were on the offer at 7.00 pence as I stated yesterday and have moved to a higher offer of 7.25p pence this morning.
Level 2 currently at 2 v 2, WINS and EVO on the bid and SCAP and MLSB on the offer.

MMs offering 6.70 on the bid online now, may see a tick up on the bid to 6.75 pence again.
In Level 2 terms WINS may move back onto the 6.75 pence bid.

Interesting, MMs offering 6.75 pence on the bid online now. A big premium of 0.25 pence on the bid...must mean something.

Its EVO the house broker who is after stock today and offering 6.75 pence on the bid online. It was EVO and not WINS who moved to 6.75 pence on the bid in the morning. Do EVO know something?
Still 2 v 2.

Re : my posts in the morning, a 250,000 T buy has just come through at 7.00 pence. Someone had an order to purchase 250,000 shares at 7.00 pence.
Hi momentum, all funds tied up at the moment.

At close :
Buys = 632,199
Sells = 419,644
Buys outweigh Sells for the ninth trading session in a row.
Somebody is accumalating stock here at 7.00 pence, that has been the case this week. See the trades since Monday where the buys have been large ones at 100K, 200K+ and sells have been few generally at 50K and below.
Re:my posts earlier why the MMs were paying a premium of 0.25 pence on the bid at 6.75 pence online was that the 250K buy was going to come through just before close.

sh even though this is the 9th day in a row buys v sells why is the price not reflecting this seems static all week?

Hi Woodie, It is because there have been large buy orders that have been on the market makers books to fill at set prices between 7.00-7.50 pence. Looks like some clever accumulation going on - without causing too big a rise in price.
Have a look at this, a nice pattern :
Before last week the price was building a base at 5.00 pence
Last week the price was building a base at 6.00 pence
This week the price has been building a base at 7.00 pence.
PS. Ten trading days ago I bought my first batch at 4.95 pence so the price has risen 40% in the last ten trading days and has been as much as 50% up from that level.

Infection Alert at Hospital :
Now, if they'd been using Nightingales this might never have happened.
11:00 - 12 August 2004
Patients who booked in for joint replacement operations at Southmead Hospital have had their operations cancelled because of a possible infection risk in operating theatres. Around 20 serious operations involving invasive surgery at Avon Orthopaedic Centre have been cancelled as a result of problems with ventilation systems.
However, most smaller operations will continue to take place in the hospital theatres.
The North Bristol NHS Trust, which runs Southmead Hospital, said the theatres have been closed because an air flow problem may cause an increased risk of infection for joint replacement operations, which involve cutting and exposing more flesh than many other operations.
Alison Sullivan, aged 41, from Kingswood, was informed that an operation on her ankle had been cancelled.
Her husband Steve said: "I'm so angry, because this has put my wife under so much stress."
A North Bristol NHS Trust spokesperson said: "There may be a possible chance of a very small increased risk of infection for joint replacement operations, which are highly invasive procedures."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just shows how disgraceful the problems are and the top people still can't see them. Yes it will cost money to implement measures but is better than hospitals closing down and these people losing their jobs.
