It is upgrades, on both gas and condensates, its rather big news and worthy of over a 1000p discounted price, the previous most recent one was over 500p. VOG is also not a 1 trick pony.

Well 104 is on testing now, so news on that will come before end of Q1, and wells 106 and 103 will have test results by end of Q2.

Those results are important, as they will change things from potential, to confirmed. If you want to hold VOG, then hold it from now until the final result on 106 or 103, whichever is last. These coming results will be the watershed of the price re-rating, if the news is good.

I would recommend holding now for that news, I am and will add more on any weakness. I got my first lot in the 150's, and whatever happens, VOG is not going away, and the price at Xmas will be far higher than the 200p now. It will go up, but has the potential to be a multi-bagger this year I think.

PapalPower - 25 Jan 2006 11:24 - 297 of 2511

AndrewThomson yes, but the well testing presently going on on 104 will confirm 0.5 trillion or not, and that could be upgraded, and news on that comes in Q1.

We could be at end of Q2 with over around 2.5 trillion confirmed if wells 106 and 103 are good. No need to say what will happen to the price.

Even if just 104 results in Q1 are good and 0.5 trillion is confirmed on well 104, that will push the price up quite a way.

So much upside, one to hold and wait, and add more.

A corker of a day for this one.

cheers GF.

accord - 25 Jan 2006 16:34 - 299 of 2511

Oh my god !!!

100% gain in just over 4 weeks isnt bad and loving it, wont sell though as Im in for the long haul.

Kivver - 25 Jan 2006 16:35 - 300 of 2511

yes, glad i hung on too, suppose some profit taking will come in soon, but not sure when. looks good for the long haul if the posters above are correct.

PapalPower - 25 Jan 2006 16:42 - 301 of 2511

The big difference is its now a very much derisked 300p+ fair value.

Its also max 9 weeks to news on well 104, this is the bigger news, as this is the change to real figures, not speculation, then with 2 more wells to unlock some more of that 5.5 trillion within 21 weeks.

I would not see any problem with this at the 300p level, and then higher on speculation now of the well test results on well 104 due before end of March.

300p fair value + what for speculation that 104 will be 0.5 confirmed ?? That is the key, and is there upside to the 0.5 trillion on 104 ?

Then what if.........what if well 104 is 0.5t or more, what if new wells 106 and 103 find another 0.5t each, or they find 1t each......there is no way in the world I will be selling before all news is in on 104,106 and 103, and that news starts soon with 104, and 106 and 103 are a max 21 weeks aways. This coming news on 104, 106 and 103 is the transformation news, news that takes probable into proven and that is where the biggest rises will come from I think.

But there is more, there are other things going on with VOG, and more good news is expected from other area's of their business.

Seriously, this is a hold/add/buy depending on your status I think, and one no to be shaken out of, the next news in the coming months is the bigger news.

hlyeo98 - 25 Jan 2006 16:45 - 302 of 2511

Can someone tell me what those T type transactions after 16:30 are?

bhunt1910 - 25 Jan 2006 16:56 - 303 of 2511

Well I well and truly screwed up my exit. Almost kept abreast in Chaco - but not quite.

Must confess - not a good decision - with so much pent up potential.

Good luck guys

bhunt1910 - 25 Jan 2006 16:58 - 304 of 2511

.

PapalPower - 25 Jan 2006 17:09 - 305 of 2511

hyloe T trades are protected trades, meaning the amount and price is agreed but the remainder of the buy or sell is worked over the day.

Nothing sinister, just means some large trades have been going on, well over the NMS size. Owing to the time of the T trade being anywhere from 08:00 to 16:30, when a T trade is reported, ignore the buy or sell rating, as the price could have been at any time during they day, so therefore depending on price movement could have been either a buy or a sell.

mickeyskint - 25 Jan 2006 17:18 - 306 of 2511

I bet EK feels a bit sick, he off loaded a day or so ago. Don't hold balls not big enough, but good luck to those who do. Well done PP a good call.

Sometimes we get it wrong?................

AndrewThomson77 - 12 Jan 2006 11:11 - 278 of 305
From British Bulls yesterday:

Victoria Oil & Gas PLC
Daily Commentary

Our system posted a SELL CONFIRMED today. The previous BUY recommendation that was confirmed was made on 16.12.2005 (27) days ago, when the stock price was 86.0000. Since then VOG has gained 85.47% .

Were you eager to sell your shares? Without doubt, it was the right time to do so. Maybe, you were even courageous enough for a short sale. If you have done so, it is even better.

If not and you still have shares, it is not very late. The next session will give you the opportunity to sell them at a suitable price.

tony727 - 12 Jan 2006 15:53 - 279 of 305
Bank profits quick this on the way down to 100p me things

It'll at least double from here, with some shorting mistakes along the way?

AndrewThomson77 - 25 Jan 2006 17:28 - 308 of 2511

That's a bit unfair! It was from 2 weeks ago! I did sell at just over 160 and at the time it was right to do so. Incidentally, the BB website had VOG as a "Buy If" again since then.

Bought back in on the drop yesterday at 148.5. Timing was more by luck than design, but I'm not going to complain. My rational was that we were due an update on the oil drilling by end of Jan, which I thought would bump it up a few pence. Was not expecting this!!

DIRAJ - 25 Jan 2006 17:30 - 309 of 2511

Any one got any idea what is the price level to buy again

Kivver - 25 Jan 2006 17:37 - 310 of 2511

how long is a piece string??? go back and read pp's posts, might give you some clues. ps cheers pp for your input.

moneyplus - 25 Jan 2006 17:41 - 311 of 2511

I took profits a couple of weeks ago---but bought back in today I don't want to get left behind and I feel it won't pull back very much while we are waiting for news. DIRAJ you may get in a little cheaper towards close on Friday----but then again you might not!!!

Saintserf - 25 Jan 2006 18:57 - 312 of 2511

OK, I'm sorry but I'm still a bit confused. When you say it's updates Papal power, do you mean these are NEW finds at the other wells they were exploring around the same site as the last find? Or is this confirmation of the commercially recoverable rates of gas from the find at the first field a couple of months ago? Because if so I thought that was potentially 25 trillion cubic feet of gas the first time and this is what had moved the price. Is this confirmation of this find or are these discoveries? Thankyou

dthomson014 - 25 Jan 2006 21:18 - 313 of 2511

Bought in first at 126p,the Mail article, hung on,then bought at 160p,price went down again, bought in yesterday at 148.21p,thought I was seeing things at 08.00 this morning, early retirement soon I think.

kiwi7 - 25 Jan 2006 22:17 - 314 of 2511

Saintserf, the previous RNS in November had the 'mid-range' estimate of reosurces at 0.5tcf, with a 'high' estimate of 2.3tcf. That referred to Well 104 only. As part of the work on 104, they did Vertical Seismic Profiling, ehich I presume gave then additional data about the whole field. This they have now evaluated and come up with 5.5tcf as the mid-range estimate. Plus they've confirmed condensate at 148m boe or so and 25m boe of oil. So, 11 times more gas then previous estimate, within the previous estimate range of condensate, and the newly identified oil.

I have no idea where you get 25tcf from, I think its a red herring.

Make no mistake, 5.5tcf is pure, unadulterated good news, which is why the sp went up 60% today.

niceonecyril - 25 Jan 2006 23:19 - 315 of 2511

Firstly let me say i don't hold with this EK rubbish? Believe what you want, a far wealthier and smarter operater than most.
Now what a great day, just wonder what's in store for tomorrow?
Not one post mentioned Kemerkol, news due any day. A positive RNS about
Kemerkol would make this go ballistic.
So happy days ahead, good luck to all.
