A thread created for the TA of charts on the LSE markets. (aim and plus included)
Beginners and advanced wellcome. Long or short, just post your views and lets have some positive discussion. FIRE AWAY.
NB, UK indicies and sector charts can also to be included in posters analysis
Technicals look I must say but once the JJB purchase settles down I think this will be one to short. If JJB couldn't get customers buying then why should Sports Direct be any different?
I hear your arguement goldfinger but I'm not convinced. When Woollies went bust HMV expected to pickup the revenue but didn't. Alot of Sports equipment now a days is sold online or through specialist stores. The only exception I think is shoes where we like to try them on before buying. Best of luck with this one, but personally I think they need to become more online focused using their retail outlets as collection points to compete...

SPD & JJB are often very close to each other in out of town locations (& sometimes in town), so there will undoubtedly be some duplication of stores, nonetheless the purchase price paid by SPD for JJB (£24m I think?) was very cheap.
edit - and they are pretty well identical in concept, so I can't see why there is such a difference in performance - apart, of course, from management.
