abbreviations (TLA)

STORMCALLER - 08 May 2004 00:41

I do not know if this kind of information is available anywhere, what I seek is a translation of the common abbreviations used on this and other BB'S. For example IMHO, IMO, DYOR (I thought this was a french coutourier, most confusing), and there are many more. So all you whizzes out there please help, after all you wouldn't want this labelled an elitist site would you?
I think this might be useful for us newborns, but then wtfdik.
Regards
SC

STORMCALLER - 08 May 2004 12:35 - 6 of 6

Martini,
Thank you for speedy response, much appreciated. I have often found that the biggest barrier to newcomers is not so much the technical terms, for which one can usually find an explanation, it is the ad-hoc abbreviations that are the problem. The list will certainly be helpful to me, and I hope, others.

davehmiller,
wtfdik is a bit rude I am afraid, "what the f*** do I know", given my request it seemed somehow appropriate.

Regards
SC
