Has anyone noticed STR which seems to just keep going up. Can't find out too much about them, except they are in risk management software.

PpP: A visitor to our investment club tipped STR, and has since departed. I don't like new companies, nor ones with low volumes and this both, so I put it on my watch list It is looking very strong on its low volumes and presumably if others noticed, the volumes would rise and it might do even better. Do you think it justifies one of your excellent headers on a new thread?

squidd it likely does, but at the moment busy busy and no time for research. I have not done a full in depth one on STR, even though holding. Will try to get there sooner rather than later.

UK smallcap opening - Strategic Thought off on H1 losses warning

LONDON (AFX) - Traders made a quick exit from Strategic Thought, 51-1/2 pence off at 125, after the technology company, specialising in risk management, warned of losses in the first-half.

Demand for core product ARM remains encouraging, but sales have been slower than expected, especially in the new industry sectors targeted, where average deal sizes are larger in scope.

As a result, while the STS business has performed satisfactorily, the group expects to incur pretax losses of up to 0.6 mln stg for the six months to Sept 30 2006.

Looking ahead, the group's performance in the second half should be stronger, but results for the full year are expected to be significantly below current market expectations.
