Puntland Leader Visits Dharoor Valley Hub
Puntland President Abdirahman Mohamed Mahamud ‘Faroole’ is reported to have just entered the town of Qardho in Puntland’s Karkaar province. Qardho, home to about 40,000 people, is the capital and largest city of Karkaar province and the main trading hub for the highly-prospective Dharoor valley basin, recently said to have a working petroleum system.


Faroole’s visit to this key town, the fourth largest settlement in Puntland, is his first this year. With Faroole are high ranking members of his administration. Thousands of locals came out to greet the leader, followed by convoys belonging to the press.

All of the small towns dotting the highway between Qardho and Puntland’s capital Garowe were beefed up with checkpoints and other security parameters. Puntland leaders usually split their time between the capital Garowe and the main port city Bosaso, making this visit to Qardho not only surprising, but also telling of the shift in priority for the state.

It isn’t exactly known why Faroole is visiting the town, but our correspondent in Karkaar province will have updates throughout the day covering the leader’s address.

Better than usual - you have done well with RMP knew if I didn't join they would fly!! Sods law. Oh! the Council are booked in for Friday it was the earliest they could come but I have a sneaky feeling I may have done the trick with my stuff but it is worth £40.32 for peace of mind. The Public Health have told the School that they have to do something - thank God, I did inform them after my first sighting but obviously they did not want to pay £72 because they are classed as Business Premises but alas they have to now. I wouldn't mind it is not coming out of the Heads personal bank account like my fee is. Just lets get shut and then I can stop shaking like a jelly.

Exactly DC and they haven't done anything. Never mind it will be sorted. The Headmistress needs exploiting really but I feel too ill to be bothered, just want rid of the dam things. I will send her the bill from my end if the Council Rat Catchers tell me they are coming from which I suspect and the Health Man suspects are from her side. Will keep you informed. Hopefully I will be too busy watching RRL climb obviously in the upwards direction. Tomorrows another day.

clears up where we stand currently. We will have our own block and

Dear Peter,

I hope your well and probably much like most of the Range long termers

slighlty miffed we have not taken off more after the positive Puntland

and texas update. We knew RMP was going to steal a march on us with

regards to Puntland drill so not unduly concerned.

But I am however concerned at new MOU announced by MES yesterday with

regards to offshore. It seems they are going alone 10Ksqkm block

whereas the talk before was we would be involved with free carry

uptill siesmics. As you know, offshore is potentially the jewel in the

crown and it will be kick in the teeth of us if we are sidelined by

the Puntland Gov favouring potentially larger partners. Can you please

confirm that we are at the centre of these negotiations and will have

an interest in other blocks in some shape or form.

Any timeframe on updates on TT 21 wells or Herera?
