With video search set to be the next big growth area BLNX have the software the likes of Microsoft, Google and NewsCorp would love to have.

In fact BLNX have done deals with most of these, the most recent being the UtargetFox deal which has been reported in the USA but not RNS'd in the UK.

Alexa rankings confirm the continued growth in usage as its viral effect spreads:-

The ITN RNS confirms blnx is the best in the market and is growing fast:-

Leading News Organization ITN Extends Advertising Deal with blinkx Based on Proven Campaign Success

blinkx Selected to Power Advertising across ITN Website and Syndication Partner Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - July 2, 2008 - blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that it has won an extension contract that will augment the scope of its advertising partnership with ITN, one of the world's leading news and multimedia content companies. Under the terms of the new agreement, ITN will use AdHoc, blinkx's patented contextual advertising platform for online TV and video, to serve advertisements on the ITN website and its syndication partner sites, including Bebo.

Through AdHoc, ITN has already been effectively monetizing its premium news content on the blinkx.com network for over six months. During this time, ITN achieved a significantly better return, greater search volume, and higher monetization through blinkx than through other syndication partners.

AdHoc uses blinkx's patented speech-to-text transcription and visual analysis technology to understand video content more thoroughly and effectively than any other service today, and can therefore dynamically place the most pertinent advertising against it. The AdHoc platform offers media companies and advertisers a unique value proposition -- video advertising which combines the emotive power of TV promotion, with the relevance and utility of contextual search advertising.

The confluence of ITN's premium TV content, blinkx's extensive syndication network, and AdHoc's uniquely powerful targeting capabilities was a formula for success. By extending its partnership with blinkx, ITN aims to achieve similar returns by leveraging the AdHoc platform to deliver contextually relevant video advertising on its own website and across its distribution partner sites.

'We're thrilled to be broadening our relationship with ITN,' said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx. 'News content is one of the most popular categories of online video and there's clearly a tremendous opportunity for monetization. The success of our partnership with ITN is evidence that the blinkx AdHoc platform is a uniquely powerful solution for online video advertising today.'

'We've been delighted with the results of our partnership with blinkx and are looking forward to implementing the AdHoc technology on our site,' said Nicholas Wheeler, managing director, ITN On. 'blinkx AdHoc has proven that it can achieve significant monetization of our content, effective marketing for advertisers and, most importantly, a useful, non-disruptive experience for our audience.'

As a pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the most effective way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 350 partners and 26 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.

Hils - I understand it's a French mobile home he's got his eye on. With wheels, storage and everything.

covered and cashed a few - have now banked a significant net overall profit on BLNX and have a reasonably sized 'free' short into the bargain.

WOWEE

cynic - 10 Nov 2010 16:40 - 3189 of 6187

to be honest, i don't think BLNX is the greatest stock to trade in/out in any direction as it's just not volatile enough

tabasco - 10 Nov 2010 16:50 - 3190 of 6187

Gausiethe way you trade is hardly worth the effortyour last add timed at 12.53 was offered at 80.7.blnx dropped 6.7% to 80.75p on a day the ftse fell 67 pointsyou have made at least 10 dud calls on this to date.you are now sayinghave now banked a significant net overall profit on BLNX and have a reasonably sized 'free' short into the bargain.
How much net profit are you in front at this precise moment on blnx?

tabasco - 10 Nov 2010 16:58 - 3191 of 6187

Gausieare you honestly a serious trader?

Gausie - 10 Nov 2010 17:24 - 3192 of 6187

Tabs

I think it was very much worth the effort, thank you very much. Your incredulity indicates that you clearly don't understand how traders work. Look up the words 'Pyramiding' - and 'Added' - you may learn a thing or two.

tabasco - 10 Nov 2010 17:45 - 3193 of 6187

Gausienot only do you talk cobnutsand act monkey nutsit also appears you trade peanuts!

tabasco - 10 Nov 2010 17:55 - 3194 of 6187

How hard is this question? How much net profit are you in front at this precise moment on blnx?

Gausie - 11 Nov 2010 08:19 - 3195 of 6187

Tabby - the question's easy. But crass and so unworthy of an answer.

I see yesterday's volume was huge. I'm yet to find any technical indicators that remain bullish. Anyone have any?

hilary - 11 Nov 2010 09:11 - 3196 of 6187

The last bullish indicator went yesterday imo, G. Isn't this what Limpy calls the "bend at the end"?

Gausie - 11 Nov 2010 09:15 - 3197 of 6187

Hils - I guess we're all keen to see whether 75p holds. Cos the next stop will be a lot further down.

hilary - 11 Nov 2010 09:20 - 3198 of 6187

There's also the makings of a nice downward slopey line to act as resistance, G. For anybody with a bit of patience who is looking to short this dog into its grave, that falling resistance line would act as a good stop.

Gausie - 11 Nov 2010 09:36 - 3199 of 6187

Yes - i think we're forming a similar strategy- sell/add any intraday rise, reduce at 75p and add at resistance.

ps - got some more away @ 79p this morning.

tabasco - 11 Nov 2010 10:35 - 3200 of 6187

Are no disappointments todayhere comes the chuckle brothers

Gausiecrass but too revealing for your credibility.its easy look.I laid the jolly [my Bismarck] for a large at tips and a monkey at ear ole on the second fav..it was a cockle bar the twoand laid bits the restno steamers in the race.the rag came through on the line at double carpet to mug the jolly.I had taken a macaroni on itbut laid a commodore offleaving a pavarotti on my overround traded the drifting Bismarck and the race was a scalper anyway

This is the easiest bit Gausie
I would have made over a 1 large [thats 1,500 to you] on the one raceI suppose you trying to explain 50p1 and a 5 aint got the same ring?still we get the picture

Hilaryanybody with a bit of patience who is looking to short this dog into its grave oh dear how sad!such a silly billy hillycant wait for your saving post when this shortly hits the 1-20p but in the mean time we will all go along with your gamebest to humour?

Your language is certainly colourful but is not something i aspire to.

"I would have made over a 1 large [thats 1,500 to you]" If, in your language, 1 is large then I'll agree with you. We're certainly playing in different ballparks....

So far as your obsession with the question of who has the biggest e-penis is concerned - you can keep asking as long as you like. Mines staying firmly tucked in my e-trousers. And e-bootlegs.

chessplayer - 11 Nov 2010 11:27 - 3204 of 6187

Tabby
I seem to have missed some of the finer points in the above .However, the analogy with the diatribe of some of the others is unmistakable.

tabasco - 11 Nov 2010 11:48 - 3205 of 6187

Hi Chesswas just writing a little industry jargon to counter Gausies protective cover and I dont mean his duffle coatlol...chicken feed springs to mind
