I've done the opposite.....picked up a few more....agree about the market...another sell in may ridiculous drop.....french elections and greek trouble plus oil pullback have not helped....

Proselenes - 09 May 2012 11:28 - 3258 of 5505

Not unexpected, the shorting hedgies and HFT's are simply going around and creating panic selling.

Makes them lots of money............... fear begets fear - GKP was always one that was going to get hit, like FOGL yesterday.

I can't believe Cynic that you've dumped 60%....not like you at all......some patience needed perhaps...?...

I'm in bigtime in FOGL...but also some quite decent positions in GKP,CHAR,FPM,MXP and RRL......none looking good at the moment but will sit through this....

RF - i use CFDs and very easy to lose one's shirt that way; am much happier to have cut losses, much as it pained me here ..... i think it has very good prospects, region notwithstanding, so as and when the markets turn up again, i shall have sufficient warchest to reinvest

Mainly in shares myself......I have a bad position in spreads though and any further drops will force me into bad losses.....can sit through the dip with the shares.....and I am no good with cfd's.....ftse now into the 6400 hundreds now.....dear oh dear....

cynic - 09 May 2012 12:57 - 3263 of 5505

6400 - you wish!!

it seems that the management is looking into taking legal action too ...... i wonder if this will result in a significant bear squeeze here this morning

cynic - 10 May 2012 08:09 - 3270 of 5505

interestingly, the order book is still weak with offer/bid 2:1

Proselenes - 10 May 2012 08:21 - 3271 of 5505

The RNS kind of suggests imo they are desperate to sell that 20%, someone please buy this 20% and if not then........well, might look into a placing then, but not just yet.

As time goes by if they do not sell that 20% then the rumours of a placing might get very strong then ?

cynic - 10 May 2012 08:25 - 3272 of 5505

ah yes .... this reads like "if some of you don't like my promoting of bor etc, then i'll rubbish your stock" ..... totally unfair i'm sure

Proselenes - 10 May 2012 08:30 - 3273 of 5505

cynic, any RNS is out of date the moment its released. Thats the nature of the system, it provides only a snapshot in time at the very moment its released, and straight afterwards its out of date.

Which is why all US news releases have to carry the forward looking statements warning, basically saying the above, any statement could be out of the date as soon as this release is released.

cynic - 10 May 2012 08:35 - 3275 of 5505

so you are now saying that much of the stuff you post is a load of rubbish .... don't be such an arsehole even if the prior statement is correct

Proselenes - 10 May 2012 08:39 - 3276 of 5505

Of course anything anyone posts and company RNS are simply a snapshot of a moment in time.

Things can materially change 1 minute afterwards. This is real life and everything is fluid, change happens all the time.

The statement, as you note, is correct of course - and really all UK RNS should be made to carry a forward looking statements warning on them

With regards to what I post, I thought you would have realised now that absolutely nothing is going to stop me posting what I want, when I want and where I want - people can continue with their snide comments as much as they want - all they are doing is wasting their time and effort........... :)
