According to Twitter followers on another bulletin board the CEO has just tweeted to say that the interims will be announced on Monday 7am.

Which is a bit hard to believe as financial result notification has to be released as a RNS or via the company website as it may affect the share price.

HARRYCAT, that is one of the many reasons I don't think CEOs should get involved in Twitter. The tweet was originally posted about 2pm on another bulletin board and certainly it seems to have sparked off some buying.

I agree with you db4, but I think that we may be in the minority. To me it smacks of unprofessional conduct and is pandering to the easily seduced (i.e the younger investor who likes risk and regular social interaction). But Twitter & Facebook seem to be the way to reach huge audiences, so as long as the company performs well, I shan't complain. However, I don't have the same kind of exposure as you have/had. At the moment I wouldn't consider risking more than £5k. From what I can see, many of the trades going through are much smaller than that, so many shareholders appear to be risking small amounts, though possibly a larger percentage of their cash than me.

One of the reasons I top sliced earlier this month was for the exact reason you have expressed in the second sentence of your post HARRY. It's far too easy for mischief makers on share bulletin boards to start rumours about what a CEO has supposedly tweeted.

Evidently the exact tweet was - "Dave Breith @DaveBreith 2h
Interims out on Monday at 7am" and it has been verified.

Well, either way there is not much we can do about it now! I'm holding, for better or worse!

For better I think HARRY. I will be gobsmacked, after all David Breith's rhetoric over the last few months, if the interim statement from him is not incredibly bullish. He has created high expectation and a rod for his own back in many ways.

I was very similar to you and had no interest in Twitter, however when I realised by DB was going to be tweeting regularly it convinced me to sign up. If theyou want you can just follow DB and no one else then you will not be bombarded with news that you don't want. Twitter is also becoming the medium for information from other CEO's as well. We are getting more like USA. As much as you dislike Twitter you may eventually feel that as a regular investor you have to bite the bullet and join up. Better sooner rather than late then you can read the evidence for yourself rather than relying on other posters.

The exact tweet was "Interims out on Monday at 7am".
The 2h referred to 2 hours since the Tweet, it now says 22h.
The other bit, which includes his photo is just details of the Tweeter.

Final results were issued on the 7th June 2013. Possibly a trading statement, but surely any fixed accounting dates must be issued formally, not through Twitter?

Final Results on 7th June were for year end Jan 2013.
Six months interims to end of July 2013.
Out on Monday 2nd Sep, earlier than last year, Yes but if news is good most
company's release early if bad they are late most of the time.
DB has stated that shareholders will be very, very pleased with interims and
year end results in recent audio interview but we will have to see how market
reacts and how many bale on any shareprice rise on Monday.
