THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

chocolat, always good to see a stem, balls and an open flower in the same vicinity :))
happy new year to everyone.
a good start to the year by me. my new year resolution to stop smoking lasted all of 6 1/2 hours.........then i woke up and had a coffee and fag :(........ ah well, might be time to join one of these smokers' anonymous type groups, or hypnosis.

Happy new year all!!
Well what a place Florida is.
If you ever feel the need to be treat like a retarded 2 year old............FLORIDA
If you ever feel Blackpool Golden Mile is a bit too classy and up market for your tastes.....FLORIDA
If Burgerking is just a bit too rich and tasty for your palate..............FLORIDA
If what your life needs now is taking to a new low...............FLORIDA

Ye Gods. I've seen the future and I dont like it one bit.
I have seen the place(s) where a seedy backstreet massage parlour and a 60 year old prize bingo hall would raise the tone of it (Highway 192 and International Drive for those of you who've been)
I have been to places where people pay $000's to be shouted at by jumped up little jerks who failed the marines test for standing 3mm over a line (McDisney)
I have spoken to people who I can't share a point of view with 'cos I can't get my head that far up my arse (almost all the yanks)
I have been threatened on the telephone for complaining the loo was blocked.
I was threatened with deportation for lighting a fag in the middle of a grassy area almost 100 yards from anyone.
I have completely missed the joke about the USA being "The Land of the Free".
I have had my bag checked so often I started using a clear plastic bag

Readers of a previous thread will know my thoughts on Iraq. My theory has now been modified slightly. If the yanks treat visitors to their country so badly, and restrict the freedom of their own citizens to such a ridiculous degree, how must the Iraqi's be getting treated. I was very tempted to get a touch violent with the officials over there, so God alone knows how they must feel.
Thank heaven I have another holiday booked for Summer, and it aint to America.
Having a lovely time (now we're home), wish you were here.
Alan

The saddest, the saddest.
Florida is the size of England, what did the prick expect from Thorpe Park USA? intelligence??

What a bunch of morons.

Try the beaches next time , you have 3,000+ miles - duhhhh???

ps glad they hated you, wonder why?

lololololol!!!!!!!!!!!

bosley - 02 Jan 2006 11:48 - 3326 of 81564

full of a bloody cold . what a crap way to bring the new year in!!

hewittalan6 - 02 Jan 2006 11:52 - 3327 of 81564

Hi Boz,
Commiserations on the old champs league.
I was a little unkind to the yanks by the way. I never did like theme parks but this was a holiday for the kids, not me. One of the bad points of being a parent is the obligatory trip McDisney, but its over and done with now and I can concentrate on MY kind of holiday from now on!! June sees us visiting Mexico for a bit of Mayan culture.
The USA has to be the most over-regulated society I have ever been in though and I can understand now, much better, why companies have such a struggle to gain approval for their products in such an arena.
Non of my stock has done much while I was away, except my beloved BBC rising on a pre close update, and even SEO seems to have closed the year just as I left it despite the gloom mongers on that thread promising disaster and plummets.
I also notice from the replies that, incredibly, the noble lord bling, hasn't been banned yet and is still an obnoxious little tit, trying to wind up everyone and act the wit. He is half right.
Loved Bazas lists from the council.
Heres to the new year everyone.
Health and happiness to all.
Alan
