Xcite Energy - North Sea Heavy Oil (XEL)

Proselenes - 22 Oct 2009 11:14

.

Proselenes - 20 Oct 2010 12:52 - 332 of 3002

Building some good momentum here. Lots of people top slicing and selling but someone is hoovering up the slack.

Will make for a solid re-rating with less resistance IF/WHEN the good news comes flowing (along with horizontal flowing early mid/Nov).

Proselenes - 20 Oct 2010 14:57 - 333 of 3002

On Line Limits are :

MAX BUY = 7.5K @ 139p

MAX SELL = 70K @ 137.37p

So it suggests there are buy orders to fill and they want stock, which ties in the price movements and the shaking out of weak holders with a gradual rise.

Perky again today. I hope we get an interim update next week on progress/details of the vertical.

Would be good to know all is well and also what they have found so far.

cynic - 22 Oct 2010 08:31 - 337 of 3002

it would be very jolly if both XEL and EO could move in tandem!
when one roars ahead, the other seems to stumble

Proselenes - 22 Oct 2010 08:37 - 338 of 3002

But EO. is way over-valued. Its been pumped up far too high. It has a measly few million barrels of oil in 2C category and yet has a 360m market cap.

XEL on the other hand could have in 2C category about 6 times the amount of oil as EO. and yet its a fraction of the market cap of EO.

Hence, while EO. has a lot of work to do in order to find more oil to try to catch up with the market cap, XEL on success would re-rate very fast to a much higher market cap.

cynic - 22 Oct 2010 08:44 - 339 of 3002

say what you will, but both the above are currently showing me very serious (paper!) profits!

friend hali has always voiced similar doubts about TLW (and me re ASC) but market defies him (and me!)

Proselenes - 22 Oct 2010 08:45 - 340 of 3002

EO., if they suffer any problems given so much "future success" is already in the price could suffer a major collapse at any bad news.

Surprised you have not reduced risk and taken those profits and put them in bank cynic.

Proselenes - 22 Oct 2010 09:04 - 341 of 3002

On line limits show strong demand.

Max Buy is just 1K shares at 137p

Max Sell is 50K @ 135.35p

cynic - 22 Oct 2010 09:04 - 342 of 3002

am happy to run the profits for now

required field - 22 Oct 2010 09:52 - 343 of 3002

Hang on...the blunderer is suggesting taking profits.....

Proselenes - 22 Oct 2010 09:56 - 344 of 3002

LOL - I am not suggesting taking profits, its just cynic always goes mental at people for not taking profits and now appears not to want to take profits.

Strange.......

cynic - 22 Oct 2010 10:21 - 345 of 3002

the difference is that i can watch all throughout the day, except when i am travelling, and XEL (and EO for that matter) are low risk especially when compared to FI E&P companies and similar

finally, i don't have loony exposure to either, albeit that both are o'weight in my portfolio

required field - 22 Oct 2010 10:31 - 346 of 3002

I'll be fair to Prosels...he spotted this and I had a good look as well....so I say bravo for being one of the first on this....just praying that they come up with the goods...should do as this has already flowed...fingers crossed....

required field - 22 Oct 2010 10:35 - 347 of 3002

Holy cow !...140p.....great jumping barnacles....

Proselenes - 22 Oct 2010 10:36 - 348 of 3002

Now a 7 bagger for me, 20p to 140p

Hoping for 400p late Nov/early Dec on good news. Keep them fingers crossed.

required field - 22 Oct 2010 10:39 - 349 of 3002

23p for me....well done on this one...incredible...bravo to Shares magazine who highlighted it even before I think....

Proselenes - 22 Oct 2010 14:08 - 350 of 3002

Doing a lot of things with this vertical well.

..........."Xcite also plans to tag an upside structure play potentially seen on 3D seismic with this well and, if the 3D interpretation is confirmed, this would increase the best estimate contingent resources to 235mmbbls. In addition, Xcite plans to test for the presence of a tar mat at the base of the reservoir using core samples from the well, also providing potential for yet further recovery............."
