THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

CRIME REPORT FROM MANCHESTER

Following Sir Alex admitting his side have no chance of catching Chelsea this season, several Man Utd fans have shown their disgust by pinning their season tickets to the doors of Old Trafford and leaving them there.
Police are investigating the theft of 6 pins.

Sorry Bos. Can't resist it.

Hang on, hang on.
My fevered imagination has been working overtime again.
I now have a problem with the word "unisex". I have come across this word applied to hospital wards and hairdressers that cater for male and female, but surely "uni" means "one".
So which is it, Dr Johnson? I think we should demand answers.

Alan you'v got to stop this deep thinking , it's not doing you any good..

bosley - 04 Jan 2006 21:22 - 3351 of 81564

RETAIL SECTOR UNDER RENEWED PRESSURE

The retail sector was under renewed pressure this morning following Hewittalan6's announcement that he had removed the credit cards from his wifes purse.
Marks and Spencers were the first to react, announcing 30 redundancies in the Leeds area stores, while an Asda spokesman said he was awaiting instruction from the Wallmart HQ in America before any announcement would be made. Broker analysts up and down the country were frantically adjusting their forecasts for full year profits and many in the retail sector have been downgraded to "Oh shit".
The Governor of the Bank of England and chairman of the rate setting Money Policy Committee has been informed and is quoted as saying that this may have a dramtic effect on the next meeting as they struggle to mantain consumer spending.
