THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

RETAIL SECTOR UNDER RENEWED PRESSURE

The retail sector was under renewed pressure this morning following Hewittalan6's announcement that he had removed the credit cards from his wifes purse.
Marks and Spencers were the first to react, announcing 30 redundancies in the Leeds area stores, while an Asda spokesman said he was awaiting instruction from the Wallmart HQ in America before any announcement would be made. Broker analysts up and down the country were frantically adjusting their forecasts for full year profits and many in the retail sector have been downgraded to "Oh shit".
The Governor of the Bank of England and chairman of the rate setting Money Policy Committee has been informed and is quoted as saying that this may have a dramtic effect on the next meeting as they struggle to mantain consumer spending.

Well said jimmy,
He forgets the amount of money I save him. For instance I went shopping yesterday, and bought this years xmas tree It was in the sale. Original price 250, sale price 99. What a saving, eh.But no, I was still in the dog house!!
He's a difficult man to please sometimes. I'm sure you'd have been so proud of your partner for saving you a massive 151.00.

Nice Car Bosley - you must live in a rough old area though - down south they leave the blue lights on top. Presumably they are underneath to make it harder to knick them ??

If anyone feels the need to lose weight after the Christmas festivities I've invented a great new diet.
Gonna call it Fatkins.
Eat and drink as much as you want of anything you want.
You won't lose much weight but its a doddle to stick to.
