This last statement shows that corporations are looking seriously at Symphonys products. Yesterdays announcement shows a real coup for the company, as they have walked away from a potential exclusivity contract with no penalties!. Rarely seen IMO.

Bio-degradeable products are appearing everywhere, especially in the consumer disposal market, and Symphony look to be taking a large chunk of this with their own brands.

I believe strongly in the management of the company. I see they have the technical ability and also the qualities required to deal with the financial markets. Too often we see an excellent company with strong technical management, only to see them fail as they have no idea how to deal with the stock market.


That is why I am nominating Symphony plastics as my "tip of the week". If you get in early enough, I believe you could see a potential treble bagger by the end of July.

Symphony to Supply Hotel Group With Degradable Plastics

The hotel group NH Hoteles Group has announced that it is to use d2w Controlled-life Plastic technology, developed by Symphony in all of its shampoo bottles, laundry bags, carrier bags, bin liners and branded packaging throughout its 393 hotels. This is the first environmental agreement

between a major hotel group and a degradable plastics company.

The initiative will be launched today at the NH Harrington Hall Hotel in South Kensington, London, by Gabriele Burgio, Chairman and CEO of Spanish-based NH Hoteles and Michael Laurier, CEO of Symphony Environmental Technologies Plc. It is designed to promote ecofriendly, sustainable plastic technology throughout the hotel and catering industry.

Certificates of Environmental Excellence will be presented to Gabriele Burgio to mark this achievement

Symphony Environmental Technologies said it was explaining its biodegradable plastics technology to UK authorities in the wake of the government's decision to ban single-use plastic items such a straws.

Chief executive Michael Laurier had mentioned the company's products at a Commonwealth Heads of Government Conference, the company said.

'It was well received, and one Commonwealth country (Pakistan) had already made it compulsory for a wide range of plastic items,' the company added.

'The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the latest country to make the technology mandatory, and Symphony hopes that the UK will soon join them.'

The announcement by Symphony was relaying details of an interview of deputy chairman Michael Stephen on Sky News.

Biodegradable plastics group Symphony Environmental Technologies said it had signed a collaboration agreement and commitment to a strategic investment with France's Eranova.

Eranova had developed a unique technology and process, which extracts starch from algae for use with other materials, the company said.

It would initially pay €500,122 for an 8% shareholding in Eranova, with an option to increase its shareholding to 51%, exercisable in one or more tranches within three years after the initial investment.

Symphony Environmental said Eranova's starch could be used to produce compounded resins which are compostable and biodegradable.

In addition, the technology could be developed to produce biofuel, biopolymers, proteins for food and animal feed stock, as well as by-products for the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, the company said.

Symphony Environmental Technologies has launched the first latex antimicrobial examination glove made with d2p technology.

Symphony is working with Health & Hygiene and Biomax Rubber Industries of Malaysia. The collaboration agreement was signed on 2 February 2018.

Biomax Rubber Industries is one of the fastest growing manufacturers of latex examination gloves in Malaysia and produces more than 1 billion gloves per year, which are sold in more than 40 countries worldwide.

Health & Hygiene is incorporated in the UK and has been working with Symphony for some time on several projects.

The antimicrobial examination gloves will be sold under the newly registered Protector Health & Hygiene brand.

The gloves are the first product launched in what is planned to be a full range of antimicrobial disposable healthcare products including face masks, caps, shoe covers, surgeon gowns, lab coats, isolation gowns, bed and pillow covers and hospital waste bags containing d2p technology.

d2p antimicrobial technology provides complete protection throughout the life of the glove by disrupting and deactivating key molecules within the bacterial cell, preventing cell replication and infection.
