Don't forget fleas can jump many times their own body height, just when you think you've got them by the short and curlies. And this is a dog with bite, so I'm staying faithful.

Very good sd.
I am fairly certain that this is stuck in the mud till news.
The next scheduled is in May, unless the PSC announce where the next 6 to 7 free carries are in Mauritannia before then.
Can't see what else is coming, but then you never know.

An article from Rigzone.
http://www.rigzone.com/news/article.asp?a_id=20424
Woodside Petroleum Ltd said it believes the Tiof oil discovery off the coast of Mauritania holds about 287 mln barrels of recoverable oil.
The group's chief operating officer Keith Spence said appraisal work is continuing with a development decision possible by mid-year or the third quarter.
"We don't have a development plan yet," Spence told an analyst briefing Related Products
Hydrocarbon Exploration and Production
Generalized Approach to Primary Hydrocarbon Recovery
after Woodside, about one-third owned by the Royal Dutch/Shell group, reported its full year profit results.
Spence said the estimate is a lower than "perhaps people had been expecting" and different development options will need to considered than if the field contained over 400 mln barrels, adding that the field is likely to be developed as a standalone project.
On Monday, Hardman Resources Ltd, an Australian partner in Woodside-operated project, said Tiof might could contain as much as 1 bln barrels of oil but all of this will not be recoverable.
Hardman said the Tiof-6 appraisal well had an encouraging oil flow but the sands tested are of poorer quality than those at joint venture partners' nearby Chinguetti oilfield, already under development.
Woodside owns 53.846 pct of Tiof while Hardman has 21.6 pct. BG Group Plc has 11.63 pct, the Premier Oil group of companies also of the UK, has 9.23 pct and Australia's Roc Oil holds 3.693 pct.

I don't know if you guys are in denial, but my short was discussed on this thread at great length a couple of weeks back. I've got a totally open mind on it at the moment and it could still go either way ..... it needs to close on or below 17p first before I really start digging the claws in.
Frogface,
5' exactly as it happens.

DD and MS why do you think we may get hit?
I see sells of just over 550k and buys of just under 200k so far to day all within the price and a tiny rise in that. Not as thought the MM's are sucking in buyers before dumping the price is it?
Hilary - I don't understand the mechanics (or psychology) of shorting. Does posting adverse comment actually make a difference to the wider market - I'm genuinely curious?

It should gain some energy before any decent rise. It should follow DGO, but slightly slower imo

Stockdog,
In practise, bearish comments on bulletin boards probably serve as much purpose as the rest of the bullish inane drivel which is posted about stocks on internet bulletin boards.
Imo, there is too much background noise for the comments to be heard and serve any useful purpose, so you might just as well natter about what you're having for dinner. I also doubt that the captive audience of this particular thread is as large as, say, the Chronic Investor which is media which will actually draw in buyers or flush out sellers. Proof of that comes in the form of Edmundo's comments this week which served to pull in some buyers. There is no doubt that Edmundo writes to a large audience through his articles on Citywire and in the Torygraph.
Unfortunately, I also happen to believe that Edmundo is the UK's third worst share tipster, surpassed only by Ainsoph and Tom Winnidrip. Come to think of it, I wonder if Edmundo is actually Ainsoph in disguise.

Thanks Hilary - I quite like all the noise though, it passes the time sociably enough.

OK then, tonight I shall be having a chicken vindaloo with mushroom rice, Bombay Aloo and a peshwari naan, the wife will probably have a Korma. Oh, and can't forget a good few bottles of Cobra beer to wash it all down with.
How about the rest of you?
