Latest RNS:
PSC-B, Block 4,Tiof-6 and Chinguetti Development wells
Tiof-6 Appraisal well The 'West Navigator' drillship successfully completed production testing of the Tiof-6 appraisal well. As previously reported, the well produced oil during the main flow period of the test at a stable rate of approximately 9,150 barrels per day, constrained by a 72/64 inch choke.
At midnight on 21 February 2005, the 'West Navigator' was suspending the well as a potential future oil production well prior to resuming operations on Chinguetti Development wells.
Chinguetti Development wells#
The 'Stena Tay' drill rig continued operations on Chinguetti Development wells. Woodside does not plan to issue announcements regarding operations on Chinguetti development wells, but will do so if necessary to comply with its continuous disclosure obligations under the ASX Listing Rules.

I dunno - you'd think there would be a law from Stock Exchange preventing drilling reports from being so exciting and informative wouldn't you.
I'm with Moneyplus - wake me up when they strike oil!

Hi all.
Short stop here as the kids are off school, and this is the only time I seem to get lately.
I hope you have all noticed that Sterling are now issuing an RNS concerning the progress in Mauritania.
Those who are more keen will have noted that they also appear on the Sterling Web site in the news section.
One week ago we were talking about the lack of the infomation linking Sterling to Mauritania.
Well, now you have it and I think we will continue to have that relationship promoted in your interests.
I would point out that since Sterling updated their web site, there have been bigger buy volumes every trading day as far as I can see, and today, Tuesday, you debated a total of 7 million buys.
The Management do listen to the small investor and have acted according to points raised.
Fact.
Take it or leave it!

About time. If they want our money the very least they can do it to keep us up todate with whats going on. Got to say I've reduced by 2/3rds.

Anyone looking for a new job? The Middle East?
International New Ventures
Opportunities for a geologist and a geophysicist to join a dynamic and acquisitive business and take a key role in new venture exploration in Africa and the Middle East.
South East England
Sterling Energy plc is a British independent oil company listed on AIM. We have a production base in the Gulf of Mexico and an exploration portfolio in Africa and the Far East. We recently acquired Fusion Oil and Gas and seek further growth through both exploration and acquisition.
These are exciting times for Sterling Energy and as a result of our high levels of activity we seek to recruit two experienced explorationists to join our New Venture team at our head office in the UK. This exploration team is responsible for identifying and acquiring new international opportunities.
Candidates for these posts will be graduates with relevant post-graduate qualifications in either geology or geophysics. You should have a minimum of 10 years experience and some of this will have been obtained with an Operator. It is essential that you have a minimum of 5 years international experience in a variety of exploration domains and our strong preference is for experience in Africa and the Middle East.
We offer a highly competitive remuneration package that will attract the very best candidates. But most of all we are offering you the chance to play a significant role in a highly motivated team and an expanding business.
