Hi all.

Short stop here as the kids are off school, and this is the only time I seem to get lately.

I hope you have all noticed that Sterling are now issuing an RNS concerning the progress in Mauritania.

Those who are more keen will have noted that they also appear on the Sterling Web site in the news section.

One week ago we were talking about the lack of the infomation linking Sterling to Mauritania.

Well, now you have it and I think we will continue to have that relationship promoted in your interests.

I would point out that since Sterling updated their web site, there have been bigger buy volumes every trading day as far as I can see, and today, Tuesday, you debated a total of 7 million buys.

The Management do listen to the small investor and have acted according to points raised.

Fact.

Take it or leave it!

About time. If they want our money the very least they can do it to keep us up todate with whats going on. Got to say I've reduced by 2/3rds.

It's snowing in Kent and supposed to be really bad tomorrow. I will just have to stay in bed. Now where is the au pair.

Anyone looking for a new job? The Middle East?

International New Ventures

Opportunities for a geologist and a geophysicist to join a dynamic and acquisitive business and take a key role in new venture exploration in Africa and the Middle East.

South East England

Sterling Energy plc is a British independent oil company listed on AIM. We have a production base in the Gulf of Mexico and an exploration portfolio in Africa and the Far East. We recently acquired Fusion Oil and Gas and seek further growth through both exploration and acquisition.

These are exciting times for Sterling Energy and as a result of our high levels of activity we seek to recruit two experienced explorationists to join our New Venture team at our head office in the UK. This exploration team is responsible for identifying and acquiring new international opportunities.

Candidates for these posts will be graduates with relevant post-graduate qualifications in either geology or geophysics. You should have a minimum of 10 years experience and some of this will have been obtained with an Operator. It is essential that you have a minimum of 5 years international experience in a variety of exploration domains and our strong preference is for experience in Africa and the Middle East.

We offer a highly competitive remuneration package that will attract the very best candidates. But most of all we are offering you the chance to play a significant role in a highly motivated team and an expanding business.

To apply, please send your CV to: Damien McCawley,

Sounds like hard work to me!

lizard - 23 Feb 2005 13:15 - 3437 of 7811

good to see they are recruiting though!- some more acquisitions would be good, then they can be bought out.

proptrade - 23 Feb 2005 13:22 - 3438 of 7811

nice thinking....expansion is good!

gavdfc - 23 Feb 2005 13:33 - 3439 of 7811

This part is interesting though and was the reason I posted the job advert. Still sounds like hard work to me though!

I'm going to apply for the job. Now do I have to supply my own shovel. Guess who's going to come with me. Yes she is boys yes she is. She use to be a hairy arsed navvy, but hormone replacement therapy sorted that out. Though it didn't get rid of the moustache.

Yule Brinner. You know he was that bald guy in The King and I. You know she even had the builder crack, if you know what I mean.

I think you could be right. Mine are all red today apart from SEA so getting a bit bored. It's snowing again, I hate the snow. Roll on the spring and BBQ's.

MS Overcast and cold but light dusting of snow now gone. The undercooked chicken and D-I-A-Red-Riding-Hood-Ooh-Eee-Aah resulting does herald the on coming summer with the concomitant and obligatory faux bonhomie. Bah humbug!

gavdfc - 23 Feb 2005 14:44 - 3446 of 7811

Get the feeling that Mickey's MIL could dig the oil out of the ground using her bare hands! Snowing up here again and bloody freezing too!
