BLINX and you've missed it, the next google multi bagger!!! (BLNX)

Still Waiting - 25 Jul 2008 23:22

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=BLNX&S

With video search set to be the next big growth area BLNX have the software the likes of Microsoft, Google and NewsCorp would love to have.

In fact BLNX have done deals with most of these, the most recent being the UtargetFox deal which has been reported in the USA but not RNS'd in the UK.

Alexa rankings confirm the continued growth in usage as its viral effect spreads:-

The ITN RNS confirms blnx is the best in the market and is growing fast:-

Leading News Organization ITN Extends Advertising Deal with blinkx Based on Proven Campaign Success

blinkx Selected to Power Advertising across ITN Website and Syndication Partner Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - July 2, 2008 - blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that it has won an extension contract that will augment the scope of its advertising partnership with ITN, one of the world's leading news and multimedia content companies. Under the terms of the new agreement, ITN will use AdHoc, blinkx's patented contextual advertising platform for online TV and video, to serve advertisements on the ITN website and its syndication partner sites, including Bebo.

Through AdHoc, ITN has already been effectively monetizing its premium news content on the blinkx.com network for over six months. During this time, ITN achieved a significantly better return, greater search volume, and higher monetization through blinkx than through other syndication partners.

AdHoc uses blinkx's patented speech-to-text transcription and visual analysis technology to understand video content more thoroughly and effectively than any other service today, and can therefore dynamically place the most pertinent advertising against it. The AdHoc platform offers media companies and advertisers a unique value proposition -- video advertising which combines the emotive power of TV promotion, with the relevance and utility of contextual search advertising.

The confluence of ITN's premium TV content, blinkx's extensive syndication network, and AdHoc's uniquely powerful targeting capabilities was a formula for success. By extending its partnership with blinkx, ITN aims to achieve similar returns by leveraging the AdHoc platform to deliver contextually relevant video advertising on its own website and across its distribution partner sites.

'We're thrilled to be broadening our relationship with ITN,' said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx. 'News content is one of the most popular categories of online video and there's clearly a tremendous opportunity for monetization. The success of our partnership with ITN is evidence that the blinkx AdHoc platform is a uniquely powerful solution for online video advertising today.'

'We've been delighted with the results of our partnership with blinkx and are looking forward to implementing the AdHoc technology on our site,' said Nicholas Wheeler, managing director, ITN On. 'blinkx AdHoc has proven that it can achieve significant monetization of our content, effective marketing for advertisers and, most importantly, a useful, non-disruptive experience for our audience.'

As a pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the most effective way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 350 partners and 26 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.

good daily close today. nice to be able to post my comments on an up day.
this battle between the bulls and bears is getting to a very interesting level. fridays close price will be interesting. still has to close above and hold above the uranium and neptunium levels that i mentioned previously, whilst now also approaching the top of the channel along with a near fibbo resistance level also .a further "pop" up in price soon through those levels wouldnt surprise me.it would however require a "follow through" and a good weekly close next week along with some higher volume to convince me of the bull case.
for holders of both longs and shorts i think a bit of fence sitting and "wait to see" might be appropriate at this level.with the appropriate stops in place as always.
just my opinion
regards
jkd

Anywayboring for me to yet again post this on an up dayheres how the up days have been over the last year.

Name 1Week 1Month 6Month 1Year
Blinkx Plc +11.15% +10.44% +149.29% +436.92%
FTSE 100 Index +1.42% +1.63% +12.91% +10.83%

Dont see a lot of down there? Have another read of this JKD

S&D Traders Manipulate Stock Prices With Smear Campaigns
S&D traders ["short and distort"] manipulate stock prices in a bear market by taking short positions and then using a smear campaign to drive down the price of the targeted stock.
Nothing is inherently wrong with short selling, which is permissible under the regulations of theSecuritiesand Exchange Commission (SEC). However, the S&D type of short seller uses misinformation and a bear marketto manipulate stocks. S&D is illegal!
The S&D shysters try to profit by stimulating fear, but this only works if they have credibility. S&D players clutter message boards, so optimistic information cannot easily be found.
If their strategy is suspected by "longs", they attack the personwho has caught them. In other words, the market manipulator will do everything in his or her power to keep buyers out of the stock and keep the price heading south.

T

Posted on another threadNow when you dowload Adobe (at least in the U.S. ) it askes if you would like to install Blinkx beat and Blinkx bar also at the same time as part of the package.

Anyone know what Adobe software?....could this be more massive news...they have a complete hold over the read-only document format (ie PDF). There is no big name alternative to view PDFs and pretty much EVERY computer will open a PDF document at some point. So thats a fantastic deal to have Blinkx as part of their install.

hilary - 15 Dec 2010 08:45 - 3502 of 6187

Thanks for worrying about me, Tabster, but there's no need. Really.

Every time Blinkx rallies up to its falling resistance line it sells off. If it breaks through that resistance, I'll have to think about how I can get out of my position. Otherwise, I'm happy that this dog's got fleas and I haven't seen anything in the price action to make me feel otherwise.

Easy, innit.

tabasco - 15 Dec 2010 08:55 - 3503 of 6187

tabasco - 16 Dec 2010 13:34 - 3506 of 6187

We all know those crooked gang members that sell short are responsible for an unnatural price declinethey are a destructive force in the markets"Naked" short-selling is still rife and finally short-sellers spread lies about companies

Luckily there are ways shorts get burnt

In the most typical short squeeze.. market forces or favorable news drive up share prices If prices move up sharply.. shorts must immediately put up more collateral or return the shares.

Institutional shareholders mutual funds and pension funds who loan out shares to short-sellers can demand their return at any time When that happens the shorts must hand them over.

If shareholders move shares from margin to cash accounts.. shorts must return any shares borrowed from the margin account.

We have seen this with blnxthe shorts must return borrowed stock the shares must be bought on the open marketshort-sellers can sustain huge losses if prices have risenand they have!!and since their purchases drive up prices still furtherthey boost the pain of fellow short-sellerswhich is extremely pleasing Hilary doing it to Gausienicelet the BBQ continue

I can't say that you or I will be shedding any tears over that. Try buying is the best bet .Better late than never to get on board.

Gausie - 16 Dec 2010 14:05 - 3508 of 6187

Tabby - you really do spout a lot of bullshit. And you may have failed to notice, but BLNX is down again today. And we'll have to see who gets the roasting on your BBQ - A black and blue angus steak will taste far better than singed bear.

There's nothing wrong with a bit of naked short selling once in a while, Tabster, especially on a warm day.

tabasco - 16 Dec 2010 14:33 - 3512 of 6187

Gausie - 16 Dec 2010 15:39 - 3514 of 6187

Tabby - why do you go on about facepacks? Who have you confused me with?
