Another beaten up oil junior starting to bounce (CHAR)

kate bates - 02 Apr 2009 13:29

Don't like doing threads but have been alerted to this one as it trades well below cash position and allegedly has directorate links with the massive Petrobas. Last broker target was something like 165p - currently 26! The bates is in.

Another one rising ever so rapidly....vertical...

cynic - 12 Mar 2010 09:42 - 36 of 474

no obvious logic for same, and rns re holding is not even particularly exciting ..... don't be afraid to bank at least partial profits, as rocket could easily be followed by stick

required field - 12 Mar 2010 09:46 - 37 of 474

On my second run as it is...banked a first lot, but it kept on moving up so missed a bit in the middle, switched accounts... and it's up again... by the way WTI is now 82.5 us dollars ...rising as we speak !.

required field - 12 Mar 2010 10:14 - 38 of 474

Taken profits for the second time....perhaps too early, but a pullback is overdue for this one...market cap in excess of 100 million quid...ouch !...

cynic - 12 Mar 2010 10:36 - 39 of 474

smart chap .... has to be the right move

required field - 12 Mar 2010 10:39 - 40 of 474

One to watch that's for sure but needs finance plus a rig and drilling dates...

cynic - 12 Mar 2010 11:03 - 41 of 474

and oil too i should imagine - or as sp currently shows, oil indeed being imagined already

required field - 12 Mar 2010 11:26 - 42 of 474

Put funds into DES......that's risky as well, but at least I've got until christmas for it to come right.

required field - 12 Mar 2010 11:30 - 43 of 474

The trouble with these little oil juniors is that you can never be sure that the black stuff is down there....Chariot now needs (a farmin or out, whatever they call it)....and something in the way of a drilling schedule and we might be a year away from that....so unless the sp continues to rocket ; in the words of Arnie : "I'll be back".

cynic - 12 Mar 2010 11:41 - 44 of 474

not a bad punt in DES at this level ..... immediate downside is perhaps 40p

i try to avoid being tempted into these minnow "totally blue sky" companies like CHAR ..... might as well play roulette where black/red odds are actually better

mitzy - 12 Mar 2010 12:14 - 45 of 474

lol.

required field - 12 Mar 2010 15:21 - 46 of 474

Some mix up with Goldfinger's blogs here....still rising....sold out too early....got to be near the top now...

required field - 12 Mar 2010 15:23 - 47 of 474

70p now...aaaggghhhh......

cynic - 12 Mar 2010 15:34 - 48 of 474

you made a (good) profit so don't grizzle ...... sp could just as easily collapse

required field - 12 Mar 2010 15:43 - 49 of 474

true....

mitzy - 12 Mar 2010 16:51 - 50 of 474

This is heading to 100p just like Matd.. gl.

cynic - 13 Mar 2010 08:57 - 51 of 474

but why? ... or my exactly, why now when seemingly the company has little or no substance?

required field - 13 Mar 2010 10:36 - 52 of 474

This is not MATD.....Chariot oil could be like Victoria oil of old or Forum Energy....until they start drilling which is probably at the very least a year away...the sp will spike back down again : you can be sure of that....MATD is set to resume drilling in a few weeks time with a very big possibility of hitting hydrocarbons of some sort as another company just a few miles away already has done so !.

mitzy - 13 Mar 2010 15:09 - 53 of 474

Because I bought @ 25p cynic.

cynic - 13 Mar 2010 17:36 - 54 of 474

that's no reason sp should go to 100
