Talking of potential valuations for oil in Tanzania, should TLW/AEX/SOLO find some.

A lot of people who wish to talk the price down (whilst they buy more) will be attempting to portray 2$ or 3$ a barrel undeveloped as adequate pricing levels.

This would be total nonsense, as you would expect from those busily trying to buy a bigger stake on success.

Uganda is valued at 5$ a barrel and that is oil that must be transported over 1300 kilometers to the coast is it ?

Likonde-1 is very near the cost, is it less than 20 kms from the nearest sea port ?

Therefore any oil, should it be found, should be valued at way above the 5$ the Ugandan oil that must be transported near 1300 kms is valued at by analysts.

Remember that when you do any calculations.

I think that we are a bit ahead of ourselves.....I'm expecting a duster ( well in my mind anyway), because to me, hitting a big strike of in excess of 50 million barrels would be unbelievably fantastic....so I'm ready for the sp to go back to 10 or 11p for a while anyway...best not to count the chickens before they hatch !.

Any signs of parties at their offices ?...crates of beer arriving...corks being popped...champagne ?.....females coming and going ?,.... or is it hands in the head times ? and early nights ?...time for a bit of industrial espionage !...je crois...!.

RF, we all expect a duster, its only normal to expect the worst, however, you cannot rule out a large oil find, or a large gas find.

Time will tell.

Plenty of other prospects for Aminex, that's the beauty of this little "Isable" company....very undervalued even without the Likonde possible discovery !.

Proselenes - 28 Feb 2010 13:57 - 359 of 562

Its quite natural for everyone to expect the well to be bad and a P&A result. That because the percentage game will always say thats the most likely outcome, but remember, from time to time oil does get discovered :)

However, one must remember that Tullow have a very good record with the drill bit which is down to their team of people.

Now these very same people fast tracked Likonde-1 on seismic reprocessing as they saw the oil potential there.

To quote :

http://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/12002/solo-oil-aiming-to-become-a-pioneer-oil-producer-in-tanzania-12002.html

.......“Tullow’s geologists are very excited about this. It’s the same group that runs Uganda and they believe they can see a lookalike of the Buffalo discovery” – Brian Hall, Executive Chairman Aminex, 29 October 2009...........

Sometimes no news is a good news ... and sometimes bad :):) I have my doubts as weell. What sort of price movements shall we expect in case of bad news from Likonde and the good one from Shoats Creek ?

Proselenes - 10 Mar 2010 00:40 - 368 of 562

Well, finally, there should be "news tomorrow". Well its today now already.

TLW results are due out, so perhaps we will get an "intermediate" update detailing how far has been drilled, and that logging/testing whatever is ongoing.
