NIGHTHAWK 6 BAGGER ON DEBUT. (HAWK)

oilyrag - 12 Mar 2007 07:10

Pre IPO price 4p
Opening price on debut 25p
Floatation price 46p to raise 14million to extend Jolly Ranch
Current fair value estimate 114p
Market cap 70.59 million.
Value of Cisco Springs investments 98 million.
Value of Vogel investments 75 million.
Desparado trucking now Nightfox 250,000 for a 50% stake with partner Running Foxes.
Centurion Project Kansas, 150,000 for a 50% stake.
Jolly Ranch Colorado, 40,000 acres cost 356,000 for a 50% stake.
Cash in bank 7.75 million.

As this EPIC opens on AIM today anything could happen. On the one hand you have traders trying to cash in a sixfold profit. You will also have a clambering of traders after shares because, firstly they could only get 75% of their allocation because of demand. Secondly at 25p this company is still way under valued.

cynic - 24 May 2008 08:23 - 360 of 1373

i too took a decent profit 6/8 weeks ago ..... BUT glad to say i bought back in again .... and thank goodness with the crap performance of so much of the rest of my portfolio.

would be nice to have some news as the reson for this recent stunning performance, though i note yesterdays volume was rather more than double the norm

Mr Turbot - 25 May 2008 19:18 - 361 of 1373

I too bought back into this one. Like you Cynic, this is my best performer in the last week, except for IRG which I held for a few days.

I hope that this can be sustained; can't find any update on the reasons for the recent rise.

gibby - 25 May 2008 21:58 - 362 of 1373

Devon Oilfield Update

The directors of Nighthawk Energy plc ("Nighthawk" or "the Company") (AIM: HAWK), the US
focused hydrocarbon production and development
company, are pleased to announce the start of pilot production and construction of gathering
facilities at the Devon Oilfield waterflood
project ("Devon project"), located in Bourbon County, Kansas. Nighthawk holds an 80 per cent.interest in the project and the operator,
Running Foxes Petroleum Inc. ("Running Foxes") a 20 per cent. interest.

The Devon project, covering 1,764 acres, is targeting the Upper and Lower Bartlesville
channel sandstones and has seen an expanded
appraisal drilling programme over the project area since March 2007.

One well has been on pilot primary oil production (without water injection) for some
weeks. A further 28 successful appraisal wells have
now been perforated, acidised and swabbed and are ready to be placed on primary oil production
prior to and during full water injection.
Construction of a surface gathering system, tying-in the production and injector wells has
commenced and is expected to be completed by the
end of July 2008.

As announced on 26 February 2008, four injector wells have already been drilled and cased
in a four-spot pattern. A further 20 injector
wells are currently being drilled and will be added to the production facilities.

The expanded waterflood injection and design is expected to take between four and twelve
months. This will involve observing the
effects of waterflooding, fluid migration paths and reservoir production characteristics.

Running Foxes has engaged a waterflood expert with over 20 years' experience in south
eastern Kansas, and additional personnel to manage
the Devon and the Buchanan and Worden projects located in the adjoining State, Missouri, where
Nighthawk and Running Foxes are currently
test drilling and increasing their land position.

Independent consultants Oilfield Production Consultants Limited ("OPC"), will commence
evaluation of the Devon, Buchanan and Worden
projects immediately following the ongoing re-evaluation of Nighthawk's 50 per cent. interest
in the Cisco Springs natural gas project in
Utah.

David Bramhill, Managing Director of Nighthawk stated "The planned development strategy of
the Company is on course and Devon is now our
second project to be brought to production status. I am confident that further of our
development projects will move into production over
the next twelve months."

David Racher B.Sc (Hons) Geology, who is a consultant to Nighthawk and has over 37 years
of experience in the hydrocarbon industry and
previously managed the Lasmo plc onshore US portfolio in Kansas, Louisiana, South Dakota,
Texas and Wyoming, has reviewed and approved the
technical information contained in this announcement.

cynic - 03 Jun 2008 08:02 - 367 of 1373

tempted to buy back in again (last sold at 105) though the markets are so vile the prudent would prob hibernate

oilyrag - 03 Jun 2008 09:55 - 368 of 1373

Richard, got another possible tip for you, needs a bit of research but 50% of profits to be paid as a dividend. Current forecast is 29.5p profit but could end up as high as 100p. Floated mid May at 145p, now 229p. On a pe of 10 you could be looking 500 to 1000p within a year or so, MDM. Sorry off thread buy worth a look.

I am not yet invested in MDM yet but am looking to buy if it retraces a bit.

cynic - 03 Jun 2008 10:47 - 369 of 1373

thanks young man ..... Toya (i think) also suggested MDM to me ..... need to look at liquidity etc, and will post accordingly.

fyi, have rashly retaken the plunge in HAWK at 103

Toya - 03 Jun 2008 13:38 - 370 of 1373

How nice of you to think of me Cynic, even when t'was not I who'd mentioned it. Didn't actually know about MDM till Oily mentioned it - thanks for pointing it out; will keep an eye on it.

As for HAWK: just not sure when to get back in.

cynic - 03 Jun 2008 13:44 - 371 of 1373

when it's too late!

Toya - 03 Jun 2008 13:51 - 372 of 1373

When it's below 100p I think

oilyrag - 03 Jun 2008 13:57 - 373 of 1373

It is now.

oilyrag - 03 Jun 2008 14:05 - 374 of 1373

Toya, this may be your chance as a lot of investors seem to be selling. Tomorrow is the day for reserving Oseola shares on an IPO and as this is another D Bramhill company, with intrests in coal bed methane, this may be why some are selling. HAWK is still one of the best investments in my opinion.

Toya - 03 Jun 2008 14:07 - 375 of 1373

Thanks Oily - back in at under my 100p target.
