Petrofac - service supplier to oil/gas industry (PFC)

cynic - 31 Jul 2006 16:46

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=PFC&Si

On 3rd July PFC announced that it was trading well ahead of expectations. Not surprisingly, sp jumped but has now fallen back pretty much to the same level as before the announcement.

While perhaps not as exciting as finding the next Cairn, remember that in the goldrush days, it was rarely the prospectors who made the money, but rather the suppliers of the spades and tents and stuff - e.g. Levis if memory serves me aright.

gibber, gibber, gibber Ruprecht ..... you seem to have forgotten to take your medication today

cynic get the certificate ready.

cynic - 14 Sep 2012 16:34 - 359 of 839

if he doesn't start behaving, i'll have his saucepan and spoon taken away so he can't bang them any more ...... he won't like that at all as it's his favourite toy

chuckles - 14 Sep 2012 21:51 - 360 of 839

Who's the loon and who's Master RSI?
LAM looks like a rubbish company, PFC looks stellar by comparison. Can't understand what the argument is about.

cynic - 15 Sep 2012 06:46 - 361 of 839

MJ and MRSI are one and the same person ...... MRSI has been chucked off this board by the management 2/3 times for unacceptably abusive behaviour ..... i assume you know who Ruprecht was

LAM
is/was a good company but seems to have lost its way ..... its core business is the building and refurbishment of rigs and similar primarily (solely?) in dubai, but being so narrowly focussed, it has been vulnerable to the massive drop in this sort of biz that has happened in the last 2/3 years

PFC
while in the same sector as LAM, is concerned with oilfield services and development worldwide ...... generally (exclusively?) PFC put out to tender for the various elements required for a project and then coordinate the whole ..... they certainly squeeze their suppliers hard and i'm not sure that we would want to be one! .... anyway, they clearly run a tight and successful ship and consistently produce the figures to prove that

magicjoe - 18 Sep 2012 09:36 - 362 of 839

someone could not afford double figure .......... SHAME
anyway, wrong time for doing so

Director Deals - Petrofac Ltd (PFC)

Tim Weller, Financial Director, bought 7 shares in the company on the 17th September 2012 at a price of 1668.00p.

re - Can't understand what the argument is about.

All about lies ..........By you know who

Can not undertand people making more money than him and being wrong.
-------------
Nobody made any derogatory comments, is was only me taking a punt short term with LAM that resulted on making 41% profit on a month.
But he said that prefered PFC.
As the market and the economy is not fully in shape, I do punt on short term charting, many years of experience help

cynic - 14 Sep 2012 08:14 - 343 of 363
and this is partly why i rate this company so highly and above LAM, despite highly derogatory comments from certain quarters

cynic - 18 Sep 2012 09:55 - 364 of 839

bugger off MRSI ..... you haven't been welcome on this site for a number of years, and that doesn't change

magicjoe - 18 Sep 2012 10:30 - 365 of 839

That's the way I like it

someone not able to handle the TRUTH

call the ambulance

you should have keept your BIG mouth SHUT long ago at LAM thread, nobody call you, but instead you came to RAMP you know who.

cynic - 18 Sep 2012 10:31 - 366 of 839

please keep up the abuse ..... shouldn't take too long for you to be thrown out for at least 3rd time

magicjoe - 18 Sep 2012 10:35 - 367 of 839

You are the big abuser from the start, or maybe needed .......tinted glasses to see your language.

you want pain have it in your small brain.

cynic - 18 Sep 2012 10:46 - 368 of 839

as i said above, please keep up the inane and rather personal abuse - i'm sure its cure will not be long in forthcoming

magicjoe - 18 Sep 2012 11:22 - 369 of 839

re - insane

You must be talking by experience ......

Gone to DUBAI to cure it, but on moving out of W11 was already cured ... so never reached DUBAI but on its mind.

"domani sarò occupata tutto il giorno di stare a Dubai":

note : saying posting from DUBAI and posting all day long

cynic - 18 Sep 2012 11:49 - 370 of 839

come on .... you're slipping .... you can be and usually are much more abusive than that

btw, the word was inane

magicjoe - 18 Sep 2012 12:40 - 371 of 839

Another £ 1.50 for the bank

believe me the 71.5 was inflated as usual if true it was sold, but "pro" does not belive a word neither do I.

cynic - 18 Sep 2012 08:29 - 1984 of 1994
have decided to bank a modest profit and sold all at 71.5

cynic - 18 Sep 2012 13:13 - 372 of 839

oh dear .... not only more pathetic abuse, but not even on the correct thread!

Stan - 18 Sep 2012 16:03 - 373 of 839

Bitten the bullet and bought a few, going Ex Divi tonight paying 13.45p.

cynic - 18 Sep 2012 16:24 - 374 of 839

better company than LAM, whatever our serial abuser may say!

magicjoe - 18 Sep 2012 17:11 - 375 of 839

re - divi of 13.45p

that is well under 1% at 1643p

the shares should retrace to 1525p or about on this routine up and loosing 2/3 of the gain.
naturaly the Indicators are at overbought, so someone is going to loose a mint before getting the divi.
The ramper ( with dirty BIG mouth ) is in a bad spell as usual but needs friends to support his ego

take notice
I have not charge you for the - expert - advise

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=PFC&Si

edit- typping mistake p instead of %

cynic - 18 Sep 2012 17:58 - 376 of 839

i shall watch with equanimity ..... charts certainly have their uses as i would be the first to admit, but a guarantee of result, they assuredly are not

indeed, i think i am correct in saying that you had all sorts of charting research to "prove" that BATM and Jessops were racing certainty humdingers, whereas both actually evolved into stinkers ..... no doubt these were not freak anomalies either, when posting under MRSI or one of your several other aliases

even warren buffett gets it wrong from time to time, and in that league of success you do not even get within waving let alone sniffing distance of the first rung - and nor do i of course
