NEWMARK SECURITY (NWT)



Newmark reported "healthy" orders a year ago, and they, plus the acquisition of CMP - a supplier of time and attendance hardware - boosted 2004-05 sales. But the latest results were disappointing due to losses from two businesses set up to sell electromagnetic locking systems and architectural ironmongery. Their discontinued losses shaved 734,000 off profits. However, 2005-06 figures should be better, particularly in the second half. Note that year-end cash balances are earmarked for CMP's deferred consideration of 1.2m, and a maximum payout of 3.5m for Grosvenor software in October 2007.

The shares don't expect much of a profit recovery, but might be surprised. Buy.

Starting to move back higher having been very oversold. Expect to see this over 2p by the time of results next month.

Nice move higher today. Certainly seems to be on a roll. Nice buy of half a million at 1.7p gone through as well.

Good day for holders yesterday and now moving to attack the 200SMA. If it goes then somewhere over 2p is on the cards.

Could be a nice little trade to pay for christmas.

Nice move higher on little volume showing MMs now have little stock available. Nice tight spread should see this move higher quickly when markets open.

Shares are tightly held and all the selling has been retail whilst Directors have been buying. Started to move higher again schiff.

I've checked as far as my experience permits me - the directors own about 85m out of the 377m or so issued (22%). Mainly bought last year and at prices way ahead of today's. So they have a real vested interest in how things pan out! The year end was 30/4 - do you think they (or more likely the recent purchasers this week!) have some insight into what the accounts will show? Looks good.
Are you aware of any institutions' holdings, by the way?
