kim - no reason it should, but then you know my view on taking prudent profits or biting the bullet when stocks misbehave .... personally, i think TossA's blind adherence to holding on regardless when the future is inevitably unknown, is verging on the reckles - but it's his money

The bottom line is, 'A profit is a profit' simples!
If we all knew what a share was going to do day by day we would all be millionaires.
A couple of times I have sold a percentage of my holdings in AFC, the first time just before they went down, so on buying back in at a lower price, I had made and held some profit. The second time they went straight up after my sale, so I lost out.
As Warren Buffet says, 'It is often knowing when to sell that is more difficult than knowing when to buy'. Not a direct quote but near enough.
Like you I am now holding many of my shares in AFC as free shares.
So no matter what, I stand to loose only about 20% of my initial investment even if AFC go bust with zilch capital.

AFC has a great future if everything goes according to plan and at present I see no reason why it shouldn't. Yes Greek, I keep telling myself that 'a profit is a profit' and I fully agree with Cynic's trading philosophy but it doesn't stop me from kicking myself! AFC's sp is very prone to market manipulation; I saw the signs that there was going to be an upward move, didn't think it would be much and sat on my hands accordingly. **** !!! **** :o)

There may just be a second chance now?!

Whether to look for a lower entry twhich could suggest problems or wait for news and pay a premium of say 1+? News which would have to serious de risk this tech and if so even at the higher price it would become a more sound investment. It's all about your risk managementfor me ,we really don't have enough info at this moment in time?

Once AFC is out there.

It has been announced that the government is to roll out a scheme costing 4 billion pounds to promote green fuel use.
Homes, public buildings and most importantly for AFC businesses, are to be fitted with meters to ensure how much heat is produced by use of 'green and sustainable fuels.
In return a grant will be payed based on the amount produced.
If this scheme comes to fruition (I always doubt anything a government promises) then it could benefit AFC in both their direct production, IE system on sites such as Akzo Noble re hydrogen conversion and the less direct link to UCG via the national grid system

There are so many opportunities out there for AFC and their partners.

I am sure most of us are becoming more frustrated by each day that passes without news, but at least we know that if newer innovations come along then these will have to jump through the same time consuming hoops that the AFC fuel cell has had to go through.

The above does not make being patience easier in fact having the feeling that the golden pot is just waiting to be opened, makes me even more frustrated.

The saying, 'So near yet so far' springs to mind.
Lets just hope we are actually, 'So very very near, we are almost there!

Results.

Although the future prospects look absolutely amazing, two small but important doubts loom from the results.

1 Whilst appreciating things move slowly in any new innovating product, I wonder why if it is so ground braking obvious, interest in the AFC system is not many more fold than at present.

2 Whilst its great that the results mention even more improvements in the technology, is there a danger that any possibly interested bodies will delay showing practical (IE contractual) interest by way of contracts, due to a 'lets wait and see philosophy.

I can not see these results boosting the sp in any way whatsoever.

I am still very positive regarding AFC, but I am disappointed, perhaps unfairly and unjustifiably.
Awaiting the results lead to frustration. These results have not lessened that feeling.
