Good afternoon
Had a great weekend in Newquay, but boy did it rain. Golf was abandoned after 3 holes on Friday but managed 18 on Saturday. Fantastic scenary around the area but Newquay nothing special, unless you are 20 and into Surfing, partying and debauchary. I can only manage 2 of the 3........

little willie - 25 Apr 2005 13:21 - 3638 of 24230

Didn't realise you were that young and into surfing Jessie, did you ride a tube?....lol...

Which courses did you intend playing? Used to know them all well down thataways, St Enodoc was fabulous, had an old small quaint church in the middle of a fairway. Saunton Sands where Brian Barnes used to teach was a good 'un as well, happy days.

Whats happening with the gem and whens it reappearing?

stockbunny - 25 Apr 2005 13:35 - 3639 of 24230

Oh Jeff I didn't realise you couldn't surf!

LW / bunny
Was it so easy to guess which one I couldnt do.

We played at the Merlin golf course. Very open, flat and windy. Close to the airport and a wind farm.

jimmy b - 25 Apr 2005 14:02 - 3641 of 24230

stockbunny - 25 Apr 2005 14:09 - 3642 of 24230

You'll end up with the whole crew descending on you jimmy
if you keep telling us how great the weather is there.
(Now let me refer to my map.....which way is sussex....)

Spaceman - 25 Apr 2005 14:15 - 3643 of 24230

Its south, keep driving until you run out of road stockbunny..
Being in Sevenoaks makes all the difference, you just don't get that warm air coming in off the channel, ill have to go back in soon before i burn..JB..

stockbunny - 25 Apr 2005 14:33 - 3645 of 24230

Screech.........

(splash!)

Splat,splat, splatterty-splat....

Great piece of navigator info jimmy, now I'll just wring out my
ears & tail before I try and work out where this big cliff i just drove
off is........I should have stuck to digging tunnels, I'm good at that...

;>)

jimmy b - 25 Apr 2005 14:36 - 3646 of 24230

You were ment to brake when the road ended.JB.

jeffmack - 25 Apr 2005 14:36 - 3647 of 24230

Yes, you are good at digging yourself into a hole bunny

stockbunny - 25 Apr 2005 14:40 - 3648 of 24230

Well see that was the problem jimmy, the road disappeared so I
couldn't see the end....on account of the edge of the cliff.
I'll stick to tunnelling, now I think dig and I'll head...
north by northeast for 1/2 a mile and than stick my head
up and see where I am! :>)

Jeffmack - I'll deal with you when I get back!
;>)

chocolat - 25 Apr 2005 14:51 - 3649 of 24230

Receive from my Personnel Department

Please note the following warning message received from Ernst & Young. This is particularly aimed at expatriates who are urged to not to complete any Inland Revenue forms that are not issued by Human Resources.

FAKE P86 FORMS ARE BEING USED TO OBTAIN BANK DETAILS FROM EMPLOYEES

We have recently been informed by the Inland Revenue that letters accompanied by fake P86 forms have been sent to individual employees of a large multinational corporation in an attempt to obtain the bank details of employees.

The letter has been created to give the impression that it is official Inland Revenue correspondence from Fiona Delaney, Inspector of Taxes. It carries a false Inland Revenue logo and asks the individual to provide information concerning their residence status as Not Ordinarily Resident in the UK.
The letter encloses a form P86 which is not the standard IR form and which asks for personal Bank Account and Sort Code details. The form also asks the individual to provide details of his/her nationality, address, profession and date of birth.
These letters have not been issued by the Inland Revenue and are clearly fraudulent. If you or your employees come across such letters you should inform the police as soon as possible.
