Today's RNS is a profit warning; average production of 151 bopd during the previous six months will have a significant impact on revenues and therefore operations going forward. Don't forget EOG recently stated future exploration costs would be supported by income, without which, a return to the market for additional funds would be likely.

1000 bopd?? They can't even hit their own target of 500 bopd!!

"Planning for the deep HPHT Berenx-3 well will take over 12 months, with long
lead items with specialist steel fabrication needing to be committed to in
mid-2011. There is a strong technical case for acquiring additional 3D seismic
coverage over the western part of the Berenx structure prior to drilling and we
are currently looking at the possibility of 3D seismic acquisition during the
well planning period."

"With regard to Berenx and Barchiz, we have made significant progress in
understanding both the challenges and potential of both of these projects and
again, will be looking to update the market as developments progress."

All point to additional expense. EOG are a tiny company trying to punch above their weight without the resources to do so. They also have a habit of disappointing their shareholders.

I recognise the potential, but until they have a dependable revenue stream and future funding is resolved (dilution on the way) far too risky, even as a punt.
