Aminex has received first payment in relation to gas produced from the Kiliwani North-1 well in Tanzania and supplied to the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation.

Gas produced was paid in US dollars and in accordance with the company's gas sales agreement with TPDC. Scheduled future payments will be in accordance with the agreed GSA. The company continues to work with TPDC during the current commissioning period to achieve an optimal rate and during this phase is being paid for all gas produced.

More good news today from Aminex (AEX), which is slowly but surely proving the pessimists wrong and building a decent business in Tanzania. It has announced a one-year extension of the Mtwara licence in the Ruvuma PSC, which was due to expire in December this year.

Secondly, the company has, with the support of the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation, transferred drilling obligations in North Lindi to the southern Mtwara licence, which contains the Ntorya discovery.

After drilling the Ntorya-2 appraisal well and depending on success, the company plans to apply for a 25-year development licence. Finally, the company has received an 18-month loan extension with no change to its terms

Well planning and design for the Ntorya-2 and Ntorya-3 wells are being conducted by Norwell Engineering Ltd and operationally the Company remains on track to spud Ntorya-2 during the Q4 2016.
