Distinct possibility. Neither Eagle North nor Glantal obviously had the results that were expected resulting in nil operational cashflow to date. Having to do further work on both projects must involve additional non-budgeted cost and the costs for all oilfield related equipment is probably about twice it was a couple of years ago.

Does that imply that neither of you are going to fill your boots with this stock then? .... lol!

Big Al: Grammar not required, have got a decent education, thanks. Mostly concerned about Eme as they are currently drilling at Sugarloaf. In my eyes this is good prospect, with weekly news every Wednesday, who would want to complain only yourself...

in their favour, though i think it is obligatory, EME will be issuing weekly updates on Sugarloaf ....... Moderately tempted to short, but not really sufficiently "heavy" to give good downside

As an investor in EME I welcome regular news updates, even if they only tell us that nothing has changed. At least we can make an informed decision.
One frustrating point as an owner of GOO, RKH, VOG & other stocks is the scrabbling around for news on the internet because they have gone quiet.
I would rather know the worst than nothing at all!

With all due respect folks, the only news required is when the thing TD's and we know what's been encountered in the reservoir. To let us know they've set 18 5/8" casing, etc, etc is naff all. Hell, BP would be releasing about 100 RNSs a day if that was the case. It ain't worth diddly-squat.

PS - tricky day tomorrow. Close short or not.

So what was the point in issuing drilling update on 23rd, which said nothing we didn't already know???
Press officer trying to justify his salary?

because unlress i am much mistaken EME were obliged to under some (not London) SE rules

Well, may I say that even though the press releases are allegedly "pointless", they don't seem to have done the slow but steady stabilisation of the EME sp any harm.
I know everyone is focussed on GOO at the moment, but over 300K shares traded today on EME and a nice gentle increase in the price is no bad thing.

Unfortunately, the above chart shows EME has experienced several periods of price "stabilisation" beofre the next leg down in the past 6 months. I'd not bet against it happening again. Overall the downtrend has not ended IMO.

Presumably the next drilling report is due on the 6th Sept???
Interestingly, for those that scoff at regular news bulletins, the posters on the VOG board are all starting to panic because of the total lack of news, so even dull, pointless bulletins seem to have a settling effect!

Not quite scoffing, but I do find the chart instantly shows the tone and volume of news releases.

Still very steady, if unexciting!
Can anyone confirm that the 3 month graph is now showing a head & shoulders, though badly formed. Possible/probable downturn in the sp???

To repeat .... having been a long ime fan of EME, I am now glad to be out and see no good reason to throw money back in the ring ..... apart from fundamantals, the whole momentum for this share is curently southwards ..... betting against the trend is a brave move

Yes, I agree. It's hard to let go of the stocks which have served me well in the past, but anticipate no good news here in the short term.

I would tend to disagree am holding Eme and still the fundamentals are in place the sugarloaf -1. Is makeing progress, and Eagle -1 the coiled tubeing is installed. They are assessing the potential of this site and beleave this month will be rather exciteing to say the least.

hope you are right, though there will still be plenty of time to get on board after the event if the news really is that exciting
