you do talk from your backside, no wonder that you back garden is full of "manure"

BPC has not found oil, cos it has not drill, and good way off yet.

do some research before opening you BIG mouth
------------

A stock never goes up in a straight line, at certain point there is going to be a retracement.

So your past comments ( that you were very happy why the share price moving lower >>>>>>>>> were RUBBISH,
most likely just with everything else you do in your live.

>>>>>>>> look at the mirror

re >>> abusive

Just paying back from the other posters ( investors ) you call them fools
about time you look at the mirror again
maybe you have "dementia" and can not remember past post

Some are expecting maybe just too much

from the FT.com -- under 'Analysis & Research"

"The 2 analysts offering 12 month price targets for BPC Ltd (BPC:LSE) have a median target of 753.72,
with a high estimate of 1,012 and a low estimate of 495.63.

The median estimate represents a 5,283.74% increase from the last price of 14.00."

as i said, without the gratuitous abuse in which you choose to indulge ..... you are welcome to your view, but it does not make mine invalid .....

as even you admit, BPC haven't even started to drill yet, and if you know anything at all about the oil industry, you will be fully aware that even in the best researched fields, the chances of finding anything commercial are no better than 20% ..... the closest so far is that there is a thought that, given the geological structure, there just could be some decent oil somewhere in the area

by the way, FT.com, in case you had forgotten, is just another BB, with all the hype and fallibility that implies

2517GEORGE - 17 Dec 2010 14:53 - 377 of 782

Whatever your viewpoint on the merits of BPC, one can't argue with the fact that a good many investors/speculators are buying into the story. BPC have gone up 300% since I and a few others here bought in, and as a result have made (sold) and are making (paper) profits, which is what I thought was the idea of investing in the stockmarket.

George - you are absolutely spot on, so long as you realise that the profits are there to be banked before, like the snow, they all melt away ..... spivvy, over-hyped shares and companies without any substance are fine for trading, if you get the timing and direction right(!), but should not be confused with "proper" companies

30p very soon

cynic - 17 Dec 2010 16:05 - 380 of 782

now you're sounding like mitzy, which cannot be remotely construed as a compliment!

2517GEORGE - 17 Dec 2010 17:02 - 381 of 782

cynic----------Getting the timing and direction right are crucial irrespective of whether it'a an amoeba stock or a 'proper' co. There is inherently more risk attached to the former, but many of the latter have been huge letdowns and cost investors a small fortune, the banks, insurance co's, housebuilders, retailers, BP and VOD even. What you do get with many 'proper' co's is usually a dividend which helps keep you ticking over until the sp improves, a luxury spivvy co's don't have. Fortunes are won and lost on whether you have got your entry point right.
Back to BPC, surely they are worth a small gamble, say 500 the same as mitzy if they do reach anywhere near their hyped sp you will make that many times over.
Good luck.

not of my money ..... you could fill a house with garbage and still be likely to end up with worse garbage even if one or two eventually come right ..... as was the case with EO, DES, RKH and XEL, to take but a few, there was plenty of money to be made even after "something sensible" was in the open.

tonight's aphorism - start in the basement but don't be surprised if you get buried

You can not leave the thread alone it seems, though you know you have been wrong with your comments. ( the share price bounce say it all )

It seems like you are trying to give advise to posters and they are not interested cos is free, and you have not research enough the Bahamas. I did research their beaches and bars on my day stay, I could not research anything else cos the company did not exist, it was a few moons ago.

If investors want to have a secure investment, they will put their money in BP. ( not so good early on the Year ) or M&S, etc, but investors on this stock, are more speculators than investors, for them with a bit of luck it can change their way of live for the better, provided they are inventing on good size.

A 4 bagger on the last 3 month or 8 bagger at its 2p low a bit earlier

cynic - 17 Dec 2010 17:46 - 384 of 782

sp bounce tells you bugger all .... read what george says - he is sensible; you are not - and also my responses to him

personally, as i have often said on this BB, i see no difference between what others like to describe (perjoratively) as speculators or traders or investors - all the same in my eyes ...... unfortunately, an awful lot of people, and you look like one of them, like to kid themselves that a stock that is a low price has to be a good buy - i.e. has to go up .... that's total baloney of course

do i have some speculative shares in my portfolio? ..... for sure - AFC, BLNX, PXS (yuk!), RRR, TMC - but none with remotely "full" exposure ...... however, the likes of XEL and RKH and EO and AFR which once fell into a similar category, have made me bundles even though i waited until they had good reason to move and had already done so

mitzy - 17 Dec 2010 17:59 - 385 of 782
