3M My Virgin internet oftens falls over and dies for parts of the day. I also have a £10pm 3Connect dongle which I can plug in during those times. I treat it as a £10 pm insurance policy.

required field - 16 May 2012 09:49 - 3735 of 5221

The markets are just bloody awful.....but we might see a good increase if they get some flow rates.....otherwise another long wait until the following well results or the market gets better......miserable all round at the moment.....best to just sit on your hands and wait for better days.....

Range Resources (LON:RRL) slipped 4% to 8.7p during early trading even after the company said that the report on its North Chapman Ranch field in Texas confirms a significant increase to the company's proved reserves by as much as 50%, while in Trinidad, progress continues to gain pace in the development program of the shallow Lower Forest Horizons within the Morne Diablo field. Company estimates it has: total oil reserves of 19.6 MMbbls, or million barrels, in Trinidad, and 3MMbbls in Texas; 3.2 Bcf, or billion cubic feet, of natural gas in Trinidad and 27.7 Bcf in Texas; and 2.5 MMBBls of natural gas liquids in Texas. If the market was not another 50 odd point off when this update hit the news wires, possibly the market would have reacted more favourably.

There isn't anything we can do about the state of the markets only live in hope. No more cash to buy in at these low prices to bring my spread down so will have to sit on hands as required field suggests.

dreamcatcher - 16 May 2012 17:07 - 3738 of 5221

Not worth putting your life savings in 3m. You could pull your average down and we still trickle down. Then we have a non commercial well your average will want pulling down again. Im sitting tight. post 3734 sp go up made me laugh, one day. There must be huge selling behind the scenes to have us in the red.

3 monkies - 16 May 2012 17:15 - 3739 of 5221

Your quite right not worth putting anymore in as I said I haven't got anymore spare to think about it, keep looking at the empty picture frame wondering what day it will be filled with the nice picture. Loads in the same boat, the one without a paddle.

dreamcatcher - 16 May 2012 17:26 - 3740 of 5221

We need to hit in Puntland, get the for sale board out in Texas, put some of the proceeds into TT to speed up the deep drills. The other spare cash from the sale of Texas, do a share buy back. Get news on Colombia. If we are still dropping I will be worried. Really need puntland to come up trumps now.

dreamcatcher - 16 May 2012 17:32 - 3741 of 5221

In all that was a good RNS today. I think it is showing in TT that Range acquired
some unservicable drilling rigs that seem to have taken months to get ministry approval and get drilling. Thought the rigs would all be turning away now. They will be
soon.

Heaven knows, a little like BT come Open Reach everyone needs approval from someone. Still a perve in the window unfortunately. BT are going to send me a claim pack within the next 10 days, wish I knew of a way I could explain how I could have sold some dam share before it went completely tits up £1000 later. They won't be impressed with my mobile phone bill of £110 but hey ho that is not my problem I hope!!!!!!!!!!!!! We shall see. Back to Range PL did say in his comments about the markets at the moment that leaves a lot to be desired.

dreamcatcher - 16 May 2012 18:07 - 3743 of 5221

Did you see this post 3m -

Put a claim in for the lot and see what you get.

3 monkies - 16 May 2012 18:23 - 3744 of 5221

DC I did see that post but haven't a clue what a dongle does yet will enquire tomorrow. Nothing to do with Virgin this time it is BT yet again!! Don't know how to make a claim for getting out of a share before it hit that hard whenst I could not see what was happening?????? It happened during the weeks of no internet at all before my kind neighbour let me into his wireless. One can claim for loss of earnings but don't know how to prove it. Sad times here in Lancashire. Don't understand what at £10 pm insurance policiy is either.

dreamcatcher - 16 May 2012 18:30 - 3745 of 5221

Sounds rude 3m , dont ask me . Perhaps you need to get in touch with someone like customer services at BT and explain the situation. Never the way is it that they go up while your off the net.

3 monkies - 16 May 2012 19:27 - 3746 of 5221

Just rang Virgin and asked what was going on and was there any point in me getting a Dongle so to speak (answer to my question was) NO. Beacause I have not got any internet connection, it is to do with BT. They will be sending me messages as to the progress of this dam lot. Await patiently - the douvet sounds good to me for now. Good Nite and thanks to all who have tried to help.

And now, an offer of oil from Puntland
Sandeep Dikshit
Share · Comment · print · T+ Share With virtually the entire east coast of Africa is found to contain hydrocarbon deposits, the tiny Puntland, which is a nation and yet not a nation, is no exception. Its President Abdirahman Mohamed Mohamud Farolez on Wednesday held talks in New Delhi on the recent find in Puntland of large quantity of oil.

He invited Indian companies to participate in the exploration and sought New Delhi's cooperation for charting out exploration blocks and training Somalis in the petroleum sector.

The Puntland region is unique — it seeks unity of the Somali people and adheres to a federal system of government unlike the secessionist region of Somaliland to its west. Puntland is not trying to obtain international recognition as a separate nation.

The visit was not due to normal diplomatic exertions. During Minister of State for External Affairs E. Ahamed's participation in the international conference on Somalia in London in February, he met the Transitional Federal Government leadership, Presidents of Puntland and Gulmudug and representatives of other groups. During the meeting, Mr. Farolez expressed his desire to visit India. An invitation was duly extended. Mr. Farolez's official engagements included calls on Mr. Ahamed and Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas R.P.N. Singh, during which he was told that India would favourably consider the proposal for gas exploration and training.

With Mr. Ahamed, the President also sought Indian assistance to train his people in the fisheries sector, education, training, small and medium-scale enterprises and issues related to piracy.

Facing the twin scourges of piracy and terrorism, Puntland has been able to eradicate piracy activities from key coastal towns, including the former piracy hub of Eyl. The government has deployed anti-piracy forces (the Puntland Maritime Police Force) at Eyl and plans to send the force to other coastal towns. In 2010, Puntland Parliament passed Somalia's first-ever anti-piracy law. Speaking at a public engagement on Tuesday, Mr. Farolez said the Indian assistance was vital to ensure alternative likelihood for coastal communities affected by piracy and illegal fishing and reviving fishing activity that had been disrupted. “ We believe assistance and working partnership between Puntland institutions and the international community, particularly the Indian Ocean region, will be an efficient option to finally defeat piracy
