Why are they selling ?, the time to do that was yesterday, today is the time to buy.....really nuts....you get the feeling that a lot of people don't know what they're doing.....like sheep off a cliff....no thought put into it....

re - Why are they selling ?
Many reasons
Like you yesterday taking some profits
Its Friday
Institutions it seems are shorting again while the PIs are buying.
This kind of rise is almost always followed by profit taking and then by a period of stagnation till the next rise, naturally hopping higher

It's the timing : I'm questioning....profits should have been taken yesterday, today buying should be happening, not the other way round.....

The sharp rise in the share price of oil explorer and producer Range Resources (NYSE: RRC - news) is as much of a mystery to the company's board as it is to the watchdogs down at the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX (Other OTC: ATKEF.PK - news)

very happy to have been and gone over the last few days, thus banking a modest profit, which would have been twice as much had i cashed in yesterday

even if that so - less than unlikely - RRL would not be my choice of stock ..... would much rather hold AFR, TLW, PMO or perhaps EO. and XEL

The price of oil is going ballistic at the moment : WTI (US Crude is 104.6 us dollars) as I write and I worked out that it was rising at the rate of 1 cent every 5 seconds.....that is staggering.....it is inevitable that all oil producers and RRL is a producer will be marked up.....at some stage regardless of whether the general market drops or not....

No - the f'ing world has gone crackers - glad I am at the end of life and not at the beginnng. So sorry for the youngsters they haven't a cat in hells chance. More corruption, crime, suicides etc. It is truely crackers and extremely disturbing. To take 3 children to the pictures + 1 adult then fish and chips is 60 - that is in an afternoon, without petrol, drinks or sweets. The average person has no chance. Hope rrl continues on the upward travel and doesn't go tits up like it did at the beginning of its era!!!!!! Good night and see what happens Monday, enjoy the rest of the weekend. Oh! even to make a loaf isn't cheap anymore and that used to be a poor mans diet as a filler.

Oh sorry I forgot to add:- when bread gets to 2 a loaf then the prison caterers will be able to put it on their 3 course choice menu - add some water which is going up to the average household 16 per annum and then the inmates will think they are getting a treat!!!!!!!! Hope nobody is offended by my comment and tough it they are.

"So sorry for the youngsters they haven't a cat in hells chance." Sorry to take issue with you on this, but our standard of living is high and there really isn't that much to worry about. Times are not hard - when you are born into a civil or world war, then you can complain about life. Reduced benefits and more expensive services - you are just going to have to deal with them. Things will get better and easier and people will get back to their old ways of expecting something for nothing. All imo of course.

What it needs is a damn good world war, or a damn good worldwide killer flu, knock out 2 to 3 billion people and suddenly there is too much water, too much food, too much land, too much oil and everything returns to normal.
Guess what will happen, sooner or later ? ;)
