NIGHTHAWK 6 BAGGER ON DEBUT. (HAWK)

oilyrag - 12 Mar 2007 07:10

Pre IPO price 4p
Opening price on debut 25p
Floatation price 46p to raise 14million to extend Jolly Ranch
Current fair value estimate 114p
Market cap 70.59 million.
Value of Cisco Springs investments 98 million.
Value of Vogel investments 75 million.
Desparado trucking now Nightfox 250,000 for a 50% stake with partner Running Foxes.
Centurion Project Kansas, 150,000 for a 50% stake.
Jolly Ranch Colorado, 40,000 acres cost 356,000 for a 50% stake.
Cash in bank 7.75 million.

As this EPIC opens on AIM today anything could happen. On the one hand you have traders trying to cash in a sixfold profit. You will also have a clambering of traders after shares because, firstly they could only get 75% of their allocation because of demand. Secondly at 25p this company is still way under valued.

Opinion on CNBC Power Lunch suggests oil price will tank next week following rising unemployment/inflation numbers and likely interest rate increases.

scotinvestor - 06 Jun 2008 17:59 - 380 of 1373

power lunch, lol

scotinvestor - 06 Jun 2008 18:00 - 381 of 1373

gordon brown says employment levels r still good, inflation is less than 3% or no worse.....and interest rates are stable.

what a great guy gordon is, lol

andysmith - 06 Jun 2008 22:53 - 382 of 1373

Gordan is an asshole who is ruining this country, real inflation on things we have to buy is >10%, he's getting extra 3.5p/litre vat on fuel but says he cant help.
He robbed our pensions when economy he inherited was good. Now things are not so rosy its not his fault but the country is mortgaged to the hilt, he's given back some tax after robbing from the low earners and BOE cant reduce interest rates cos GB wants a letter if inflation goes over 3%. Immigration out of control, billions wasted on Management Consultants and an illegal war.
I travel with my job and they the world is laughing at this muppet, go NOW you self-obsessed, power crazed tax maniac.

andysmith - 06 Jun 2008 22:54 - 383 of 1373

Still, HAWK has doubled for me and I have high hoped for IVE and RIFT!!!

scotinvestor - 07 Jun 2008 01:08 - 384 of 1373

scotinvestor - 08 Jun 2008 18:49 - 386 of 1373

can we not have a vote of no confidence in this government......i also read that brown has been moving money from rural areas to major cities where labour support is.....top 20 areas for most money r labour, surprise surprise.....and bottom 17 where money is sent from gov is in conservative areas and so these areas have to ramp up council tax......at least snp in scotrland are planning to scrap this dreadful tax.

brown has also been involved why production has plummeted in north sea....now that oil price is so high he is now up in scotland to try and tell us to increase production.......there is no incentive so why bother!! every company is now going abroad as theres less legislation and much less tax.....including 20% tax on profits!!!

thank god hawk is is usa......under mr.bush control, lol

andysmith - 08 Jun 2008 20:58 - 387 of 1373

They also re-arranged boundaries to give more seats in "labour areas".

gibby - 08 Jun 2008 22:16 - 388 of 1373

anyone would have thought you could not trust this government lol lol lol!! almost like they are trying to buy power - surely not thats as unlikely as a uturn from them surely!!lol lol! what a corrupt bunch they truely are!i honestly can not think of one labour success story - look at the disaster no where to jail people then when jailed its like a 4 * hotel, rubbish tax, council tax, so called green policy which is just an excuse for surprise surprise more tax, fuel, 1.35 per mile to drive your car, hips, police, nhs (& that useless computing system disaster), id cards, passport costs rocketing, imigration disaster, education, forces, everything the government touches is a disaster! i also travel and brown is a laughing stock makes me laugh that he is so arrogant he thinks people believe his drivel and when he quotes something never backs it up with facts and the bbc who are in the governments pocket very careful what they show!i promise not to go on about brown again except he shoud wear size 15 shoes, a big plastic red nose, and a spinning bow tie working at a travelling circus!lol - but yes pleased hawk is usa! have a good week all

Buchanan and Worden Projects Update

The directors of Nighthawk Energy plc ('Nighthawk' or the 'Company') (AIM: HAWK), the US focused hydrocarbon production and development company, are pleased to announce an update on the Buchanan and Worden waterflood projects, located in Vernon and Bates Counties, Missouri. Nighthawk holds a 50 per cent. interest in the projects and the operator, Running Foxes Petroleum Inc., the remaining 50 per cent.

The projects lie on the Missouri side of the prolific Cherokee Basin that is known for shallow oil saturated sandstones which are typically waterflooded for production. Various government reports suggest that 5 to 30 billion barrels of oil remain in place in Missouri.

On 10 October 2007, Nighthawk announced the acquisition of a combined 774 acres at Buchanan and Worden targeting the same Bartlesville sandstone reservoirs as at the Devon Oilfield, in the adjoining State, Kansas and the intention to permit four test wells on each project.

Each of these initial test wells encountered hydrocarbons and as a consequence Nighthawk and Running Foxes have embarked on a proactive land acquisition programme. The combined acreage now currently held is in excess of 7,000 acres with further land acquisition envisaged.

A successful development drilling programme over the original and newly acquired project areas is underway. 28 wells have been permitted, of which 16 production wells have been drilled to date. All of the wells drilled encountered hydrocarbons, have been cased and are awaiting completion. As a result of this success, permit applications have been made for a further 30 wells which will be added to the development programme. The wells are being drilled on a 10 acre spacing therefore the current land base provides over 700 potential well sites.

The test wells all targeted the Upper and Lower Bartlesville channel sandstones, however, an additional oil bearing formation known as the McClouth has been encountered in some wells and has exceeded 60 feet in thickness.

All of the test wells have been evaluated for conventional oil on a 10 acre spacing. The key features of the evaluation are:

*

Oil in place ranges from 125,000 to 900,000 barrels per well with an average of 350,000
*

Pay zone intervals encountered during drilling range from 15 to 100 feet at depths of between 35 and 350 feet
*

Core analysis indicates excellent permeability, porosity and oil saturation
*

The oil is 28 API indicating an average weight crude oil

The Buchanan and Worden projects are now considered to be of development status and the operator anticipates water injection and the start of oil production during Q3 2008.

Nighthawk has commissioned independent consultants Oilfield Production Consultants Limited ('OPC'), to undertake an independent reserve evaluation on the Devon, Buchanan and Worden projects immediately following the ongoing re-evaluation of Nighthawk's 50 per cent. interest in the Cisco Springs natural gas project in Utah.

David Bramhill, Managing Director of Nighthawk stated 'We have made excellent progress at the Buchanan and Worden projects and confirmed that there is a substantial amount of oil in place. The projects are now firmly in the development phase. We look forward to the results of the independent evaluation by OPC.'

Rising again bought at 108p this morning.

scotinvestor - 09 Jun 2008 12:18 - 392 of 1373

bit of mm manipulation i think with amount of buys pre-trading

gibby - 09 Jun 2008 12:51 - 393 of 1373

yep bought again myself at 108 - bit annoyed when dropped but never mind - yes mm's again - sure of that! this will correct upwards

oilyrag - 10 Jun 2008 07:27 - 394 of 1373

Never trade this in the first hour. When it drops it always recovers, and when it goes up big, it always retraces to about half of the initial rise, intraday. For example yesterday it opened up +8p approx, within an hour or so it was +4p and stayed about there for the day.

gibby - 11 Jun 2008 12:54 - 395 of 1373

thanks oilyrag - you are correc

Jolly Ranch and Middle Mist Project Updates

The directors of Nighthawk Energy plc ('Nighthawk' or 'the Company') (AIM: HAWK), the US focused hydrocarbon production and development company, are pleased to provide an operational update in respect of the Jolly Ranch and adjoining Middle Mist projects, located in Lincoln County, Colorado.

Nighthawk holds 50 per cent. interests in both projects. The operator, Running Foxes Petroleum Inc., holds the remaining 50 per cent. interests.

As announced on 30 April and 5 May 2008, the Jolly Ranch 16-1 and Jolly Ranch 2-1 wells which were designed to test multiple objectives, encountered hydrocarbons during drilling and were subsequently cased for testing.

The next well, the Craig Ranch 8-1, also testing multiple objectives, has now been drilled to target depth. Hydrocarbons were encountered during drilling and casing has been set for testing.

All three wells will test the primary target, the Marmaton, as well as other zones. Initial production testing on the three wells, which is expected to take approximately 45 days to complete, will commence in July 2008.

The drilling rig has been released and the drill programme will resume in Q3 2008 following the testing of the three wells. To date, drilling permits for a further 21 wells have been approved in the Jolly Ranch area by the State of Colorado.

In addition, Nighthawk and Running Foxes have acquired further acreage bringing the combined land held at Jolly Ranch and Middle Mist to in excess of 225,000 acres.

David Racher B.Sc (Hons) Geology, who is a consultant to Nighthawk and has over 37 years of experience in the hydrocarbons industry and previously managed the Lasmo plc onshore US portfolio in Kansas, Louisiana, South Dakota, Texas and Wyoming, has approved the technical information contained in this announcement.

Like I said last week, on the release of news, sp was up 2p at the open. Now it has dropped to 0.25p up. Keep watching and soon you may be able to buy lower than start figure with another positive RNS in the bank for long term. Good luck all.
