Easyjet - on for a bounce? (EZJ)

soul traders - 11 May 2007 08:44

Just a heads-up for any traders out there. Easyjet seems to be bouncing back after its 20% fall during the week.

MM's seem to be walking the price up.

Right now we have EZJ Bid: 608.5p Offer: 609p Change: 11, was up 13 a few minutes back.

mitzy - 23 Feb 2017 13:56 - 385 of 408

cynic - 05 May 2017 09:10 - 388 of 408

following in the footsteps of IAG's results and no doubt also with some reflection of weaker crude, all airlines are having another good day
as it happens, EZJ is faring slightly better than RYA

so you clever chaps, which i am not, do you think those numbers are good enough to sustain the recent sharp rise in sp?

my gut feeling is not - but then i took my decent profits on a trading position yesterday

Stan - 16 May 2017 07:56 - 391 of 408

No idea but trying to second guess company results can be a pretty fruitless exercise personally, best trade what you see as they say.

cynic - 16 May 2017 08:37 - 392 of 408

tempted to say "told you so" but shall restrain myself :-)

EasyJet has swooped to acquire part of the collapsed Air Berlin's operations in Berlin's busiest airport for €40m. The budget airline has agreed to acquire leases for up to 25 Airbus A320 aeroplanes and offer jobs to each plane's flying crews and taking over other assets including much-coveted runway slots.

Oil price doing the damage here?

robinhood - 26 Sep 2018 14:18 - 396 of 408

Brexit-weak £- higher oil prices of which only about 60% hedged. (bye bye as not for me this one)
On to hedging- I recently retired but have been in an international Jet fuel ,DPK and UK kero trading and broking job for approx 30 years and am dumbfounded when and if these airlines are ever going to employ some decent oil traders rather filling vacancies with a few inexperienced graduates? Answer : probably not, but do not ask me why considering the impact Jet fuel prices have on profitability

Descent through the clouds a bit steep!!!!

cynic - 19 Oct 2018 09:49 - 398 of 408

whacked by 5% this morning, though of course the markets remain in a pretty bearish mood anyway

however, with the demise of cobalt and the imminent collapse of flybe, one would have thought this to be good news for the stronger players, and especially those in this budget market

Claret Dragon - 19 Oct 2018 11:23 - 399 of 408

Getting sorely tempted now to press the buy button.

cynic - 19 Oct 2018 11:55 - 400 of 408

would be more tempted by this than TCG :-)

Claret Dragon - 19 Oct 2018 12:14 - 401 of 408

In a travel mood today :) Speedy Buying today.

EasyJet has submitted a revised bid for Italy's Alitalia as Europe's airlines prepare for a winter of consolidation amid rising fuel costs. Alitalia has been under special administration since last year after workers rejected a rescue plan. EasyJet, Lufthansa and Wizz Air have submitted previous submissions of interest. - Telegraph
