Rockhopper was established in 2004 with a strategy to invest in and undertake an offshore oil exploration programme in the North Falkland Basin. It was floated on AIM in August 2005. Rockhopper was the first company to make a commercial oil discovery in the Falklands. Today Rockhopper is the largest acreage holder in the North Falkland Basin, with interests in the Greater Mediterranean region.

hilary - 29 Oct 2010 12:29 - 3841 of 6294

Probably just as well I've gone red this week then. I know how to spell that.

:o)

cynic - 29 Oct 2010 12:31 - 3842 of 6294

how about green? ... that can certainly be a risk with hot sunshine and "suicide blonde"

hilary - 29 Oct 2010 12:35 - 3843 of 6294

Too late, Cynners. Already been there......

I think blond is the older spelling - fair hair (with dark roots :) )

in the centre, kiev has the appearance of a cosmopolitan city with a vibrant "cafe culture", but it is pure facade, and the cafes are empty as the locals have no money ..... st michael's monastery is truly wonderful too, but there is a fascinating and very sobering mural/history on its outside wall about stalin's "genocide by imposed famine" ..... no wonder the ukrainians don't like the russkies!

aldwickk - 29 Oct 2010 15:06 - 3852 of 6294

Are you saying that Master RS is Lyudmila from Chernobyl.

aldwickk - 29 Oct 2010 15:10 - 3853 of 6294

Oh sorry , the green hair it was a joke

The news today is good for RKH in one large way.

Why ?

This charge in the lower fans is very bullish for RKH as they believe Sea Lion has 8 stacked fans, of which only 2 presently have been drilled into and both were charged with oil. That validates the scenario where RKH might have 700 million recoverable barrels with just Sea Lion.

If all the lower fans are charged with oil then things look very bullish for RKH, so todays news of lower fan oil shows is in fact nice for RKH and certainly at least interesting for DES.

Roll on Rachel-2, it might be commercial, you never know, but whatever, the more lower fans with oil shows the better for RKH up north !!

For DES, at least they have a sniff of oil now, move the rig and they might end up with their boots covered in oil with Rachel-2.
