On a early run this morning after price of gold risen.

mitzy - 17 Dec 2008 08:48 - 387 of 2076

I'm always looking for the next "bubble" and next year it has to be gold and to a certain extent oil.

I have a feeling something is round the corner to propel gold to $1500 and oil back to $80 I cant explain it but in the past I have benefited from intuition.

I expect pog to go to 500p in 2009.

goldfinger - 17 Dec 2008 09:42 - 388 of 2076

Yep and that could be conservative mitzy.

Punters still nibbling away at POG........ Nice.

Please send cockers my regards. Had a run in with admin over there so giving it a wide birth.

Bubbles do tend to require access to leverage ie high margin levels which will be curtailed to some extent .Have you read Bubbles and how to survive them?

mitzy - 17 Dec 2008 10:43 - 390 of 2076

No I havent.

goldfinger - 17 Dec 2008 11:05 - 391 of 2076

HARRYCAT - 17 Dec 2008 12:31 - 392 of 2076

goldfinger - 17 Dec 2008 13:54 - 393 of 2076

goldfinger - 17 Dec 2008 14:30 - 394 of 2076

mitzy - 17 Dec 2008 15:00 - 395 of 2076

goldfinger - 17 Dec 2008 15:02 - 396 of 2076

Yep but they are bloody frustrating.

mitzy - 17 Dec 2008 15:07 - 397 of 2076

goldfinger - 17 Dec 2008 15:24 - 398 of 2076

Yep i topped up yesterday.

Gold price is going up on back of interest rate cut and dollar decline.

Fingers crossed mitzy.

Falcothou - 17 Dec 2008 15:33 - 399 of 2076

Mitzy I consider the Euro as being more of a Hindenbergesque hydrogen filled Zeppellin than a bubble!

mitzy - 17 Dec 2008 15:36 - 400 of 2076

The Euro is very strong so invest in euros or invest in gold I've done both.

goldfinger - 17 Dec 2008 16:33 - 401 of 2076

How on earth have the MMs managed to get a finishing spread and mid like that??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????.

Its nothing but robbery.

The FSA should be alerted.

cynic - 17 Dec 2008 17:46 - 402 of 2076

GF - stop being a tosser!

Euro
my opinion is that is ludicrously over-valued and that in the fulness of time, it may well reap the whirlwind ...... strength is due to the relatively high base rate being maintained by ECB and also the perception that UK will suffer far more than Euroland in this recesssion ... i happen not to subscribe to that view.

as far as i can see, there is no historical or other inter-relationship between the price of gold and the strength or otherwise of

mitzy - 17 Dec 2008 18:13 - 403 of 2076

The pound sank another 4 cents today against the Euro its going 1/1 by the end of the week its a disaster for me.

cynic - 17 Dec 2008 18:21 - 404 of 2076

how come?

mitzy - 17 Dec 2008 18:25 - 405 of 2076
